This is my race tune. I don't usually use it cause I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to be. I usually just romp around in daily but I'm at a point where I really want the extra power.

I was solid on the pedal the whole time, this was a pretty moderate acceleration, I just think the rpms went down too much. In daily under heavy accel the rpms barely move at shifts. Does this mean the race tune is too much for my stock sticks and 38r?

Yea I have IDS, what you want me to log?

Fuel pressure and boost

38r, that's it. Also rolling on 35s. I just read your thread and thought maybe my speedo being off could cause shifting issues, I am on 35s and going back to 37s next week.

I still throw CEL for over boost and ICP. not sure if those can defuel me. Anytime I go to pass on highway, not even down shift necessarily, she'll CEL on me and go away shortly after

That was going to be my first suggestion....check your ABS module for tire size.

After that.... Fuel PSI if you have a gauge/sending unit installed, then I'd look at ICP PSI and DC%

How smokey is it? Do you at least have a CAI and 4" DP/Exhaust?

I think my tire size is already maxed out, but I'll recheck... does that really affect tuning and runability?

Fuel psi never drops below 65psi and I do have a FRX

Yes on CAI and DP.

She burns really clean, cleans up super fast. Just she dogs down at that shift and then has to build back up speed. Don't know why she doesn't stay in the power band..

I did check out ICP and DC awhile back what should be good readouts? They were fine back then and truck runs the same

ICP readouts being "good" relies a lot on the tuner's demands... if the tune calls for 3000psi and your pump is maxing out 2600psi.....no bueno. If you're hitting 2800+ and a lower DC% I'd say you're probably good there.

I know I used to get the 1211 code with my old HPOP under full throttle, otherwise it ran great. Now I have the T500 and the only time it pops is if I hammer it when the engine is still cold.

Ok I'll grab IDS after work monday and take country roads home. Log some blasts in different tunes and see what ICPv vs DC is.

With the CEL for overboost, do I need a boost fooler? Or should tuning take that out of the equation and the light just lights to light?

As in not enough injector? I'm going to keep this truck stock sticks until she blows and I know there is nothing wrong with my injectors.

It was an easy answer. Sorry.
Even stock injectors ought to keep dumping fuel, irregardless of tire size, or anything else, short of a lack of hpo.
In short, tuning.
If you blow up a stock injector truck, even with "tunes", you're dumb.
There isn't enough fuel to "blow up" a 7.3. Lack of maintenance, running out of coolant, maybe.
I routinely use a "race" tune to tow with, using an a code injector, with zero problems. If you are dropping power on an upshift, empty, either your tunes are very conservative, or the mechanical pieces are are incapable of keeping up, i.e., you need more hp oil.
A live tune session with a tuner would open your eyes, let the tuner call for 3100 psi, and I'll bet your DC goes to 87%, or whatever the max is.
The tires only exaggerate the problem.

Pmrs mean you make power higher in the rpm range, which means more driver input.
Still not enough fuel to blow it up, unless your making ridiculous torque at 1200 rpm. Your video seemed to be a little higher in the rpm range?
Barter is good:D
