i have the same on my dually.. been on there so long i forgot what size it even is.. placement is simple. one end to one map wire and the other end to a different map wire.. i put mine on a toggle switch for some odd reason...

Its probably not a resistor but a 4.7 volt zener diode to limit the 5 volt max output of the SD MAP sensor to 4.7 volts so the PCM doesn't think its seeing overboost.

The resistor would alter the pressure vs. Voltage curve where as the zener shouldn't effect the curve up to the 4.7 volts that it's clamping at.
