Made the switch Kem to gearhead

I loaded my Gearhead over my Innovative with no issues.

i just didnt know since im using a different tuning device if that made a difference. i guess it works the same vice versa if i wanted to go back to my 310 tune. just pick a tune load the tune and away you go.

When going back to Innovative I had to return to stock then reload the IDP tune.

ill ask matt what needs to be done. im gonna try his race tune, even though im happy with my 310. gotta try his tunes.

Go back to stock using the dashdaq, then use the sct for Matt's tunes. Mink I had the same problem going back to IDP, 45 minutes of my life I won't get back...

Also all mine was with the SCT so I did overlook the you (pog) were using a dd.

would i need the stock tune on my LW too if i wanted to go back to the 310? im assuming the LW copies the stock tune first time you load a custom tune?

how do these tunes compare???

You wont ever hear me bad mouth my IDP tunes but the Gearhead Race is much more friendly for daily use and is very beast when to the floor. Time will tell when I get it on the dyno/track but Gearhead is my daily use tune.

When sledpulling or on the track I plan to run IDP but thats simply because I like the way it fuels.....unless the Gearhead proves to make more power then Ill roll with the no smoke all the time LOL

When you load your first tune it will upload it to the device. Go thought all the options and stuff, then I believe it says"program with race" or whatever you called it, when you select yes it goes to upload ecu that takes about 15ish minutes, then the tune file about 10

Curious how your shifting is on the Gearhead Hot Street tune. I just loaded the tune yesterday but it hangs around 2 grand for a minute before it goes into fourth and the same when it goes into overdrive..Doesnt shift into overdrive till about 60mph or 2050rpm incase my mph is off.. Is this pretty normal? Thanks guys

That's normal shift points, it shouldn't hang too much though, mine shifts at about 58. The more you drive the cleaner the shifts get

Thanks! Thats what i figured. Just wanted to make sure. The Hot Street is pretty impressive. I was shocked at the difference. Like a new truck. The no smoke is great!

Were you just running the canned tunes before geaheads?

Yah just the canned, Kept it on SCT's Extreme. I bought the tuner used and it came with that kem nutty 345 but I didnt like the way it felt shifting. Im assuming the file was built for a diff set up then my truck ya know so i didnt run it to often.
