WOW is about all I can say! I have been in KEM and Spartan tuned trucks, this is my first experience in one of Matt's Tuned 6.4's and it was AMAZING!!! The power comes on so smooth, it shifts awesome, and its so freaking clean. I knew Matt was good, but DAMN he blew us away with these tunes. I can't wait to see your track times Robbie!

What tune did you ride in when you rode in Matt's truck?

so i am used to running the latest spartan 310 and am now running the gearhead race tune. i got some hwy driving done on this tune. these numbers are all based on driving 100km/h (62mph) on flat road and cruise on. reset my lie o meter, seems to be more accurate it is reading 18mpg vs 22 (actual is always between 14-16). gearhead tune holds about 1k more frp (roughly 87-8900) vs spartans (77-7900). i noticed i had to push the pedal a tad bit more to reach my cruising speed, spartan seems to have more low end grunt. boost was about the same (5-7psi). the VGTDC was between 70-77% completely different usually on the 310 it would be 38-44%. hammering into at at about 70mph i noticed it down shifted where the spartan would sometimes downshift in this area, now i do have a weak hpfp and it held 235-23900psi vs 20-22k psi. boost was 44psi/64eb. the spartan to me just seems more aggressive at all throttle positions where the race tune you gotta get into it to get it moving. i did notice the turbo whistle a lot more (not louder) while regular acceleration, maybe thats matt's success to keeping it clean. more air before fuel. the spartan would lock tc and go into 5th (47ish mph) at the same time where with the race locks tc at about 50mph and then 5th at 55-58mph. over all this is an excellent dd tune. i do love the all around power of the spartan. just something about the 310 that appeals to me more than the race tune, it could be the aggressiveness out of the hole. i could see myself going back to the spartan 310, but i will def be playing around with the race tune. cheers

i agree with what you said about aggresiveness. i love the tuning all around.. but my KEM files pulled way harder out off the hole, say 0-30, but matts come on hard and keep pulling around there i think. and they are fast-dont get me wrong.. but personally when i want to drive my race file-i want it to be friggin crazy aggresive. still i am super impressed. like unbelievably. best tunes on my truck yet.

Its funny hearing people say they miss driving a light switch - crazy

its called race tune not hot street:poke:
i know wat your saying mink, but as stated its a race tune, not really intended to be a dd. if i wanted a good dd id detune it. but if im at the track i could careless how much is smokes but i wanna feel the power out of the hole. i could drive my 310 tune fine. the throttle wasnt touchy to me. but i agree matts tune is freaking clean and it does not lack top end power. best DD tune imo

i wasseeing max 37 boost, frp was fine back then and i belive 100rpm slip or so. i was choked too but i knew my tc was failing. now my tc will be good but the fuel pump is failing. weighing 8400lbs i think a low 13 would be golden.

I ran a 13.24 @103 on my 345 tune and a 13.56 @99 on my 310 tune. My truck ran real well on the 345.

I mean i guess i could make the pedal come on like a light switch but if you want it to accelerate faster out of the hole just give it more pedal. When people say low end power they usually mean pedal sensitivity, but in reality my file may make even more real bottom end power (engine rpm based) than others out there that are being compared. The pedal is electronic mind you.

talk about customer care! i think track times will prove all. question.. i know your race tunes super clean but is there any more power to be had by increasing the pw? i just want a race tune thats all balls out. it may not be the greatest dd but for the track it would be a beast.
