most miles on a 6.7l

I worked for Ford for 3 weeks while I was between jobs and I seen 4 trucks come back in with the tick. All right after the first oil change. Those owners were extremely concerned and I don't blame them.

I haven't even changed my oil yet and I hear the ticking lol. Still running the oil that came in it from the factory.

I was doing 5k mile intervals, but since the tick took 4k miles to stop this last oil change I may extend out to 10.

Ford suggested 10k on normal oil. Makes me nervous to run royal purple or amsoil 10k miles.

hell no. i let the fancy screen tell me when i needed to change my oil and i wont do that again. think it went 7600ish miles. the nasty ass black oil that felt gritty as hell from all the nasty chit that goes through the engine was enough for me to stick with a 5k oci...

My dealer suggested to me not to go past 5-6k.

id say stay at 5k.. if it was deleted it may be a different story cuz its supposed to keep all the extra black chit from the egr out..

delo 5-40 at 5k on the dot. fuel filters at 15k and air at 10k. and drain water separator weekly.

Is the 5w30 rotella syn for the 6.7? Im pretty sure they put 5w40 in our dmaxes.

Only oil I know of thats 5-40 non synthetic isnt rated for diesel.

I am pretty sure the only diesel rated oils are 10-30, 5-40, and 15-40.. I could be wrong though.
