The final time would it not? I don't know anything about drag racing I just figure if your reaction times are slow that would affect right?

It just depends on the type of racing your doing. Bracket racing is that way.

Not in drag racing it's all that way. Bracket racing only changes the time you leave in relation to the person your racing. Not when the clock start.


Clock always starts when the lights are broke.


Et doesn't decide who wins it's who gets to the end first.

The time starts when you leave the last of the two staging beams. So you can have a horrible reaction but a good elapsed time. When you are racing its the driver that hits the beams at the end of the track first. So you can technically run a faster time yet still lose the race because its reaction time plus elapsed time basically. A lot of diesel trucks fastest runs will have terrible reaction times cause they are waiting for perfect boost and rpm to launch but they run a little slower when actually racing because everything has to happen so fast to stage. But for things like this there is no need to look at reaction time just end results.

This is looking great guys! May as well ad another setup I'm interested in! 175 or 190cc injectors, Elite SSX powermax, or their HO powermax, tuned FICM.. Then headers and up pipes, and ported intake after the turbo injector mods. Trying to see what I could get by with and still have good spool up for towing.

That'll be the day LOL ...MPD doesn't sell anything from Elite last I checked. :swordfight: I'm pretty sure they mentioned IN THIS THREAD that they're coming out with their own VGT lineup. I bet you see some of those tested though.:toast:

What about trying nozzle changes on whatever injectors you choose. I thought I read 190s. Try the 30%, 50%, and 75%. Wonder when the gains start to diminish

190s with 30% nozzles to start with the stock turbo, then a 62mm vgt with gt40 turbine.
