Well.. His parked itself on it side? Too soon? Sorry..

Dat black king ranch interior doe.. I could definitely rock that dude

LOL not too soon is it, Nick? Yeah the black looks awesome with the KR leather. It's my 6.7 KR copycat...

Guess you could say I got "lucky" though. The 1 mile radius around my old apartment where the truck was parked that day pretty much got hit the worst. Made national news. I was at my buddy's shop that day literally 10 min down the road and it was sunny all day, with a quick sun shower. This is a pic from the news of a car parked maybe half mile from where my truck was.

I wouldn't say it's too soon since it's been like 7 months. But for a payment free and pretty much brand new truck. I'll take it.

Yeah you really did luck out. I wish my bed had gotten destroyed in this storm too because it is starting to rot in a few places :( but hey, I can't complain, it will still look better than it did before.

Says the dude with the name that sounds like sperman and who put two big dumb redneck stacks in his truck and called it a "build" LOL

The build ran out of money. Lol. The stacks came on the truck when I bought it with a stock down pipe all the way back to where it changed to a 4" elbow to go up to the stacks. I bought the 4"tb and axle dumped it, which is how it is now. Only takes about and hour to swap them back and forth though. Lol. The "build" ran out of money after trans, injectors, and I had to replace the junk Chinese stock turbo that had a 1/4 inch of play in it with a 38r. Not happy with the way I found this truck was treated before I bought it. Everything was done cheap as could be. And they had one of those external oil filter things on it, so I can almost guarantee the oil was changed at 20000 mile intervals. Anyone can say whatever they want about how I treat the truck, but I know I treat it better than any of the previous owners did. Haha. of course we can add the chip, insight cts, and tunes to the list of costs as well and bring it all to around 6000 within a year.

While making my payments and being in school, yea it's quite a bit. Not including the maintenance costs, oil changes, and batteries tires, and that stuff. Fuel just dipped below $4 a gallon up here too. I didn't hear too much about Phil, for example, dumping that much into his truck while still in school and making payments. It's possible, I just didn't hear or find it.

There comes a time when you need to realize "this isn't the best vehicle for my situation". It's up to you to decide to get rid of it for something more practical before or after it completely bites you in the azz.

Josh that is some crazy hail brother, must have came close to totalling it out. Glad you're getting it back in better condition than when you purchased it, though.

If 6k in a year is a lot you need to quit.

LOL for real... I think I spent more than 3 times that in a few months LOL LOL

This is when you make the decision to not drive a powerstroke....

I agree about the wrong vehicle for the situation. To be honest, I dumped way too much money on my truck when I was "living for free" in college. Now that reality has set in I really don't even drive it anymore, and I've kept the spending to a minimum, as I can afford it kinda thing. And yeah the hail was unreal. I'm surprised they didn't total it and are doing all this extensive work. I mean in reality it is just a 170k mile 05 F350...

Working on it.

Shaved antenna? What are you talking about? The antenna comes through the cowl on the hood. It was never shaved, I just took it off.

LOL I see what you did there. Prob wouldn't be a bad idea. And Sperman, nah the antenna goes through the cowl brah. Go take a look at your pile, it is the same

Yea I do. Going up Saturday to look at it. I have a feeling I'll like it tbh. Just hope I can swing the payments. I wish I could pull off buying sickstroke6.0s. That is a clean truck.

And I know where it goes now. I was sitting in my truck when you responded that and looked over. Felt dumber than usual for a second.
