Looks awesome, and its unique too.
Where did Shane learn to do this?
That is exactly how I did my 50mm JGS gate.Inside view of the intermediate pipe. Shane extended the pipe a little past the vband so it sits inside the exhaust housing and makes a better fit on the flange. It's the little things this guy does.
Getting ideas for gate placement. I wanted to be able to gate both banks of the engine, but love the simplicity of one gate. Not wanting to lose the benefits of having divided up pipes, Shane made this merge so the up pipes remain divided all the way up to the gate. A 50mm JGS will be reused from my previous set up.
Previous parts for my truck and sled lead to learning what works and what doesn't. Being a mechanic also has allowed me to work on a variety of different setups and see different ways to build things. Wanting to improve products for myself has lead to some creative solutions, the pipe extending into the turbo outlet so it is always centered and it stays in place better while working with the cab on is one example. I have lots of pictures and notes plus many hours to remind me to always try to provide the easiest installation even if it takes more effort to build or costs a bit more, nothing worse than needing a bunch of tools to remove or fix a part when your on the side of the road or 7000ft up.
Shane isn't actually Canadian or Human for that matter....he's an alien. Alien Fab Master. LOL
Doing boss stuff. Shane fabbed the hot pipes up in about 4 hours last night. A bellow will be in the open section.
Looks great!
