Elites 72mm turbo
Rcd ported intake
Rcd valve springs
Smith bros pushrods
Arp studs
Hardened valve seats
This all gets started Monday. Unlimited diesel will be doing the work and needless to say pretty excited to have it back and done. I'm ready to take to the track to see new times. And to see how much lower egts and smoke are.

You will be happy with the 72. Good choice and looks like the truck will be a fun street Mustang/Camaro killer. Keep us posted on how you like it bud.

Definitely a good build and definitely should a big performance improvement. Looking forward to the results! Based on what I have read, the hardened valve seats is a little more questionable. Make sure a good machine shop does the install.

The valve seats will be installed by a highly reputable machine shop. They do this on a routine basis with zero failures.

I think right now Robbie's more worried about finding a cracked piston than anything. Crossing our fingers that everything looks good when we get in there.

That's deff my biggest concern with as many as I've seem popping up with cracked pistons I guess all I can do is just hope they don't find any.

There are lots of people out there still running stock pistions and they are ok, but...if you do have the funds to do it now, this would be the time to do it. They do take a good bit longer to do, but then they are done and you dont have to worry about that again.

I thinks that's the key. I wouldn't want a shop that doesn't have much experience doing them to install the new seats.

The IH pistons look better than the stockers and we know the stickers can have issues with cracking, but can we confirm the IH pistons do hold up good (ie, has anybody ran the IH pistons for high mileage yet and confirmed they do hold up)?

Don't they also have difference on the back side (how the oil reaches them) or is it thicker?

I was just asking has anyone CONFIRMED that they do hold up better?
