Finally getting time to work on the truck again, next step is color matching all these parts (and rear bumper that's not in the pictures). I also bought a set of air bags for the rear, and I'll make sure to get some photos up of those too. I also smoked the tail lights a little bit, added led interior lights, and having jdgleason do the headlights.

I am going with a 40" light bar in the front bumper, 4" cube LEDs for the fog lights and LED head light bulbs from diesel cartel.

I luckily have a friend that owns a body shop and has been painting 25+ years. If you took it to a shop to have everything done I would guess your bill would be around $1600+. We took him all the parts to make it easier for him. The cost isn't so high because of material, just a lot of man hours taking the parts off, breaking the parts down that need to be painted, prep work etc. I added up material to just do it all my self and would have been it around $350 to do it right.

Any idea how he is going to prep the bumpers with the chrome? Like scuff them up or have someway to remove the chrome surface ?

Generally speaking you would rough them slightly and use a chrome etching paint. I have my grill done this way for over a year now with perfect results.
It does ruin the chrome though, so you will never be going back haha

That's how I did mine as well. Scuff the chrome with a 220 or 320 grit sand paper and use self etching primer. A few coats of it should cover up any and all of the sand paper marks.

I opted to have my bumpers powder coated rather than painted. Since the front bumper especially will be a lot more susceptible to getting rock chips. And the power coating is extremely hard.

Now I'm just waiting on 40" DR light bar to arrive and still need to order a bed cover. Thinking about getting a low pro access one unless anyone knows of a better one a reasonable price.

I also need to get ahold of Jarod over at RCD soon to order some OUO traction bars.

Truck looks amazing! Are those Ford Emblems aftermarket or do you paint them? If so what is the process?

Ya there factory and they actually come apart in several pieces and you basically sand, primer and paint the color of choice.

That looks awesome! What did you end up tinting the windshield at? I had the same plan for 5% all around and undecided on the windshield when the time comes... probably this summer :evil

Those are factory badges. We took a drill bit and ground the melted plastic rivets out. They come apart pretty easily then paint of your choice.

Exactly

Thanks, windshield is actually not tinted. The window tint guy tried for hour to get the mirror off and would not budge.nhe had correct tools etc and has done a few others for us. I have had 35 and 50% on two different trucks. 50% is my favorite.
