eh, the plan was to just get it changed, go a couple of weeks then change it again, then life got in the way. I'll try delo, but I do want to get smoke diagnosed before I put good oil in it.
that is why I said try delo.. whitey would smoke at idle with shell rochitta in it..

On a different note, assuming that I'm not planning on a turbo bigger than stock/ 38r, what inj would you go with? It will be UNLIMITED_DIESEL inj's. I'm thinking 238/100 so if I decide to do a turbo I'd be set.

Tow first, play second. I think those injs would be as far as I'd ever go, which is why I picked them. I have a hydra, but I have to Un-wire the Banks Trans command before I can install the hydra. I have a couple more weeks on my big side job before I can really start on it.

What does your oil temp sensor read when it is "cold" starting.

It was within 3-4* today, if anything I wouldn't trust the outside air temperature gauge

No, inside heated garage all night, and overhead console. I tried using my electric cheapo temp gun but it was acting up.

What, you don't park your truck in a heated garage???? lol. I will shoot the block with the temp gun tomorrow before I start it and let you know, I don't think it is too far off.
