Is your current pickup paid for? If it is it would be cheaper to just put a turbo on it and run it, then it would be to trade it off on a Ecoboost.

I'm pissed because I absolutley love my super duty, but paying to fix it every time something happens is getting old. first it was studding it, then it was a Glow plug control module that was a pain to do. And now blown turbos? ****...just to return them to stock will cost me what I coulda used as a down payment on something else...
Don't get my wrong, as I said i love my 6.4, just getting fed up with that crap.
Sounds to me like you need a warranty if you don't want to pay for repairs. Machines need maintenance and repair. Its inevitable. A vehicle could leave you stranded 2 days after buying it.

I say buy a new truck. Leave it stock, and get rid of it when the warranty is up.

I have quite a bit of equity in this super duty. It's worth double than what I owe.
But it also has 115k miles now so the more miles I keep Clocking in the more it'll lose value. I put alot of miles on my trucks so trading things in never works out for me

I hear ya. I'm just whining because it's so expensive. Vehicles will always do that no doubt about that. I'm just the unlucky bastard that is always on the bad side lol.
Like I said before, I'm a very conscious and smart buyer. Only way I would downgrade to an Ecoboost is a ridiculously good deal. And those are hard to come by.

My mom picked her 11 up for 33500.00 out the door. But she bought it memorial day weekend in DFW and apparently they hooked her up.

6.2s are dope but only available in the platinum and raptor trucks... Which sucks. I would buy a xlt 6.2 in a heart beat

I would imagine they are also pretty good on gas :lookaround:

Not as bad as you might think. But not great. Everyone I have talked to with ecoboost says the power is good, mileage is no where near what claimed...but my 6.7 doesn't get the mileage anyone claims either. So go figure. We have a couple 6.2 trucks one is in a box van the other is in a 2wd reg cab. They run alright the box van only gets 8-9 mpg loaded and the other truck does about 12 average but it's usually short trips lots of idle time and sometimes towing forklifts.

They changed that for 2013. You can get it with xlt, fx4, fx2 super cab and crew. It is pretty steep, and I have only seen one xlt on a lot.

Thats good to know, If its like our dealer, you can only get an eco boost in a lariat or higher, they didnt have one xlt ecoboost all last year, i looked a ton for my wife but i can stomach 50k for a damn half ton...

I will keep an eye out for a 6.2 xlt, thats the way to go.

5.0 is a good engine though, couple guys at work have them and like them, nothing special or anything but no real complaints
