Only way i ever get rid of my truck is if i no longer need the towing capacity. then it gets replaced with a Raptor
It's to bad they don't get the advertised mileage because i'm looking for something to do 100 miles a day in or so... The problem in Houston is, if your not doing 75 your fixin to get run over!
So there are some good mods out there for the Ecoboosts???
Back to the OPs original question though... I'd bullet proof the motor and run an aggresive street tune. If your REALLY worried about mileage this and that... set the truck back down and put some 33s on it. I'm sure that will help too... It's hard to be upset with something going wrong when your pushing over 600hp but thats just my opinion! I went through my stock tranny and 2 others until Elite got me fixed right (talkin $20K total)...now don't run more than a street tune because it does everything I need it to and the chit is expensive!
I miss that. Bumper to bumper traffic on 610 or 290 doing 80mph.

Any half ton truck isn't a truck at all to me.. They ride better and have there place.. I looked them over for the he!! of it before I bought my 6.2 and they are nothing but an SUV with a bed IMO.. Very nice looking inside and out but a truck it is not..
They definitely have their place, but I believe they are pretty tough and capable trucks. They have weight ratings and I have seen people do things with them that they shouldn't, but the truck survived. My dad used to pull a gooseneck horse trailer with his 96 f150 and the little 5.0 did surprisingly well. He has a cclb
ower stroke now though.
I would love to daily drive one, but I still like the toughness of the superduty. If I didn't tow so heavy with a tri axle gooseneck from time to time, I would downsize for the comfort.
To dd empty? The lincoln is even better jngreen!
I hear ya, I dd a car aswell. It would be nice to maintain one vehicle though. Heck, sometimes I have 4 vehicles in the driveway that I maintain, and my wife and I are the only licensed drivers in the household.
