I don't get it. Stopped at a stop light an temps jump up. Let it idle for 2-3 minutes when I got home and these are my temps. What would cause this. It's like 65 outside.

My temps are about the same, 200-215° range and it's 75° here…

Is the radiator clean? Maybe full of dirt or seed? We get farmers all the time with radiators packed full of hay and whatnot.

In 100* temps my truck gets 200-205* tops.

I'll have to take a peek, I'd think Adam would have noticed when he had the cab up though.

He would have if it was matted over. Wasnt the water pump replaced too?

Fan & fan clutch checked good too right?

I would say check the coolant temp sensor...but the corresponding oil temp leads me to believe its reading right.

Aside of verifying that the fans coming on, I really don't know...

Reason I ask, right after I bought my cc lb from a ford dealer, I took it back shortly after due to weird temps just as you've got. They replaced the fan clutch and been fine ever since.

You should be able to audibly tell when the fan comes on, but at what temp its supposed to come on at I don't know.

Does the truck cool down some while driving?

during the long trip today it sat at ECT 196 EOT 205-206. Getting off the highway and moving around 45mph EOT dropped to like 202-203

I bet the coolant temp went up the slower you went didn't it? Got even higher sitting still?

Sweet backdrop man. Those murals are cool for sure. I like 1874 and 1894. 1894 has a lot of reflection but it looks good still...

edit: 1884 too. I like how it looks like that things eyes jumping out like its amazed by the truck.
