I wonder what one of those inline regulators will regulate the pressure to. Good luck !
So you can use the OEM housing and filter, just "should" buy a new lid/top for the housing?I also learned that the aftermarket fuel filter lids that come on the filters are weak as hell and wont hold 60psi. They flex and pop the oring out and fuel geysers out. Lol. Ordered a billet filter lid from riffraff so that wont be a problem anymore.
Its the same regulator as they usenin the "regulated return " conversion kits for any 7.3 powerstroke. This particular one will regulate from 0-140psi..I wonder what one of those inline regulators will regulate the pressure to. Good luck !
I mean, i dont know why not. Im still kinda confused as to what is different between the obs oem filter and superduty oem filter because i still used the factory filters and fuel bowl on whitey with zero leaks around the cap. LolSo you can use the OEM housing and filter, just "should" buy a new lid/top for the housing?
That looks nice!I don't know a lot about this/I only know what I know
But the kit I use (as mentioned before) uses a machined block that incorporates the stock return pressure spring from the stock pump.
I'm pretty sure you can buy this separately
Or even make one
If you know a Machinist.
It doesn't seem all that complicated
I've seen them offered from Marty's fuel injection kit
And also the one I use from Mark fuga
I'm sure this will be a crappy picture but here goes...
I tested mine without the truck running the other day just to check for leaks.
And it was holding about 65 psi.
And that's the stock Ford regulated return spring

Personally, of all the conversions I've seen, the fugazzotto is my favorite. Works well too. Put his whole kit on my 94.

Glycerin filled with braided line.Is that a mechanical gauge running inside the cab??
I'd be a little worried about that.
Unless I was using a stainless steel braided line with the proper fittings.
The last thing you want is a fuel leak inside the cab.
I keep my gauge under the hood for that reason.
Where did you end up sourcing the fitting to reuse the factory Y line??Some pics of what i came up with.
That black fitting? Got it off fleabay with 2 different size hose barbs and 2 new o rings for the big banjo bolt for 30 bucks.Where did you end up sourcing the fitting to reuse the factory Y line??
After reading through the thread I’ve come to the conclusion we’re a bunch of Jerry rigging cheap asses LOL. Kidding. Keep it coming, all great work.
