Post up some opinions. I take it company truck means basically stock?

Yes, 2005 with nothing but an EGR Delete. Still has the factory airbox, catalytic converter and stock programming (plan to get a mild tune from Innovative to improve the trans strategy at somepoint).

Downloaded the tune just now, literally took less than 5 minutes. Took maybe a minute for the tune to download. Super easy. Haven't driven the truck yet, too late tonight. Will post driving results tomorrow... I commute in the truck about 80-miles per day so I should be able to get some solid MPG comparisons.

I tuned it with the Inductive Heat tune and it seems to start much better, not so rompy when its cold. Idles quieter even when its warm. Definitely drives better. Havent filled the tank up to check mileage yet though.

At this point I'd feel safe in recommending it. Very pleased regardless of mileage increase.

It's where you get reprogrammed with an earlier strategy. Rollback is just the term for "rolling back" to a prior one.

I figured that's what it meant, just wanted to make sure. SO.. if I have a ficm that has an atlas 80 tune on it and wanted to pick up a PHP gryphon tuner, more than likely I would have to have it rolled back to an original strategy, in order to use the tuner... am I getting close..EGTs run higher than I would like and it still smokes pretty bad with the 175/75's. after reading this thread and many others I am starting to think that the atlas 80 on my ficm is part of my problem, not all of but part of it...

I don't think you'd have to change strategies. But I could very well be wrong on that. From what everyone has told me throughout this thread, FICM tuners write over whatever is already on there. So in essence, you buy the tuner, and install whichever tune you want...no matter what's currently on your FICM. But don't take my word for it though. I'm sure the guys that know much more about this than me will chime in and either confirm, or correct me!

You could just call/email PHP and ask them. They'll know the answer to that for sure.

If it helps you understand.... the Atlas 80 that's on your FICM now is not your strategy. That is an actual tune from PHP. I'm assuming the FICM you are running now is not the original?

Are you running a tuner? SCT, etc? Those will tell you what your strategy is.

And as I've been told many times, the only stupid question is an unasked one.
