Installed the Inductive Heat tune this morning. Truck starts faster, and idles soooo much smoother and quieter. Haven't been on a drive yet, but will put about 100miles on it this afternoon. Wasn't too cold last night (maybe high 40's) but even then is still get a little bucking and clanging til it idled for a bit. None of that after the tune. I'm stoked! Let's see how much it cures the terrible throttle response and laggyness I've been having.

SCT tuner can't read ur FICM strategy...only ECM and TCM....

Just realized what you were referring to. I didn't word my response to him very well did I!

So, on the sheet IDP sent it says to return the truck back to stock before you change FICM tunes. Do you really have to do that every time you want to change? And if so, why?

Isn't your strategy a combination of everything basically? ECM, TCM, FICM

Well you used "sct tuner" as a general term, x3 will, mine does.

Just put the PHP Atlast 40 in my truck. Will advise. I had a very old strategy and cold starts were brutal.

Good deal. I'm curious how PHP compares to IDP.

Was 33 degrees here this morning. Idp's inductive heat loaded, she fired right up and idled just as smooth as it does when plugged up. It's never cranked and idled that smooth before. I'm definitely impressed. My cold starts prior to this were pretty bad as well.

What did you get for performance gain? So if Ford reflashes an update ever even if told not to IDPs FICM tuner won't care?

That's how I understand it.

Still running the inductive heat. Haven't even tried performance tune yet. Weather can't make up its mind here. 80 for a few days, then back in the low 40's at night for a few. Just keep IH loaded until it stays warm.
