if i'm not mistaken, those are the direct clutch packs. dd solenoids are cheap except if you are running custom tunes, you will want to have the 3-5 shift pressure reduced a bit or it slams hard.

Will do.

Zerex on the way, to get rid of this green chit. Should I change my coolant filter after the flush? Say 500 and then 1k miles after? To clear out any loose crud?

Update: Varnish remover is in, coolant has been flushed, blue spring done, EGT probe in.

Shop told my my degas bottle was cracked, but I haven't noticed any leakage, if I don't, then I'll probably wait til the cab goes up to replace it(bought one, may as well use it). Heater valve appears to be leaking though.

Noob question here: how does a fuel pressure gauge work/hook up? Tap the fuel filter cap, put in sensor and run it to the gauge?

Also been toying w/ the idea of a 3 or 4 gauge pillar set up, along w/ my CTS. IF I were to go to that set up, what gauges should I get? To kinda free up stuff on the CTS. I was thinking like EGT, fuel press, boost & back pressure for the pillar and ICP, FICM volts, ECT, EOT and something else(gear/tcl). Probably won't happen for a while though.

So those spots will be the beginning of the "I quit college to afford a 6.0 build" thread???

Student loans and/or mommy and daddy seem to be popular ways to fund the retarted idea of having a modded diesel when young.

or be the son of a farmer. LOL

I feel like the 1% granted I didnt go to school, rather opted to work full time for the past 6 years.

Fixed.

If you want to call a tuner and exhaust modded, sure…

Here's a neat little plan that might work though, I do this cool think called "working" which results in money. I take said money and don't spend it on the stupid chit a lot of others spend it on. If that is t enough, then I'll take out a loan, do what I need, and build credit. Oh, and living at home.

I gotta ask though, what's up with everyone hating on people whose parents help them get started? Your parents didn't help? Congrats to you doing it on your own, hopefully that 1% you mentioned being in is the successful bit(which it looks like it is).

I wasnt attempting to attack you in any way. Help is a great thing, I dont have a hard knock life or a hard up bringing by any means. All my stuff is my own and I am very greatful to of been able to support my hobbies on my own - this also has made me realize how much money I've "thrown away" at a young age...but I've done alright for myself so I will continue on. Enough about that, just simply pointing it out.

Honestly how you or I afford anything isnt anyone buisness, sorry if I offended.

My approach to feeding this addiction when I started was a STUPID one. Maxing out high limit credit cards.

I learned a good lesson from all that.
