The fuel temps are from your regulated return setup not the kit. We have no wraps or blankets on anything and no temp issues.

The boot blowing is because of the angle he has it cocked too. The regulated return kit he has is holding the charge elbow up at a weird angle and the boot is cocked. The vibrant boots included with the kit are the best money can buy IMO.

Get your little issues figured out so we can see some vids!

I'm trying i'm trying. LOL Yeah the boots are nice not complaining about it the angles are just weird with my particular set up. It's funny, the code P0183 states : The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor input to determine if the FRT signal is within an expected range. The test fails when FRT voltage is higher than expected.
Possible Causes:

FRT circuit open in the harness
FRT circuit short to voltage in the harness
FRT sensor connection
FRT sensor

I wonder if Matt didn't turn that off. Since the temp sensor is disconnected. Only pops on when I start of the truck. Drives fine and doesn't seem like it's dropping rail pressure or reducing the timing. May throw the fuel cooler back on there in time. We shall see. Right now just fighting the boots.

Probably should've left the fuel cooler in there. Next week get the lines made and hook that back up. With how much towing I do, rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks morgan for the help that should help with most of my issues. Fuel temp sensor not plugged in makes the truck do some goofy stuff. :fustrate:

No time slips yet. The day after our dyno day is a truck nationals race with a diesel class. Will be running then. Need a 2.5" to 3" boot that'll hold over 30 psi. Lol. Drives nice though. Driving easy stays a steady 800 degrees for gets and cruising at 50 runs around 650.

Since that turbo has to have a cover made for the Dmax trucks, the outlet is only 2.5", so on the fords you need a 2.5" to 3" boot on the discharge. Don't think the one he had was designed for the boost a diesel will make

Ahh so that charger doesn't have the standard 3" outlet. Well that along with the terrible angle he has is cocked at will never hold. 3" boot on a 2.5" pipe is never good.

I've held 70 psi on those boots so I highly doubt it's them. As far as I'm concerned there isn't a better boot out there.

yeah its usually the angle and the pull that causes those problems.

Yes it was the boot on the turbo its self like what Jacob said. The others hold up just fine, I was able to find a good boot in the shop over the weekend and all is good. This thing is fun as hell to drive! I will try to get videos this week. Have a diesel meet coming up on Wednesday SO I should be able to get someone to take some video.

Took it around town a little bit yesterday and on the highway...Morgan you must be deaf because this thing is loud as hell. LOL Cruising in OD at around 75mph EGT's sit around 850-900 degree's. Through some of the little rolling hills it would creep up to like 1150-1200 but nothing more than that. In tow haul it'll stay in 4th which is perfect because it keeps the egt's cool and I generally don't tow over 65 mph anyways. Around town drives pretty good. Doesn't haze all over the place and cruising around 40mph egt's stays around 550-600 degree's with the AC on and Tow/haul off. When that turbo lights hold on...the truck pulls hard and ripping on it I've yet to break 1200 for EGT's. So far been really happy....except for one little thing...slight blueish "poof" that comes out the tail pipe when at a stop light...noticed a little bit of oil on the turbo when I was changing out the boot yesterday. CCV is re-routed as well. I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

what rpm dos it light ?

I wanna say around 2200 but I haven't been paying much attention to it...been having too much fun driving it. I'll be sure to get some details tonight on my way home. Hopefully have it on the rollers here soon as well. :evil

EDIT: 2300-2400

Once mothernature makes up her mind, I'll be giving the truck a good cleaning and waxing. Then I will go out and get some pic's of the engine bay and everything.
