I killed a 2013 5.0 mustang and camaro ss like nothing. I also raced a gt500 at the track last year and let's just say it was dumb and I got my ass handed by his 11 second run vs my 12 run

that 472/juice truck is a beast!

my buddy's GF had a CCSB 2wd with 3.55's. That truck would get it from a roll with just a good tune. But stock-ish 6.4's lay over at about 80mph.

most fun on the street IMO = 4wd... a 4wd 6.4 is a friggin' stoplight king. I want to lower mine and take the 4wd badges off. It's got ESOF, so I'm going to run 2wd center caps up front. Most "sports" cars won't out 60' a 4wd launch. Most will have a hard time with a tune-only 6.4 up to 80 or so unless they have the driver mod.

Finding a good deal on a reg cab 4x4 is a chore... especially in this part of the country. Thanks to a fine forum member, I FINALLY got mine (only took 3yrs! LOL)

I wouldn't kick a 2wd out of bed if you get the right deal on one, but you gotta love 4wd

We'll see how I can get my scsb 6.4 setup when it gets done. 4wd won't be happening due to height.

My rclb only made about 480 on fuel and it would wax my dads 08 mustang. Obviously the new cars have more pep, but like everyone else said 0-80mph I vote truck. 80+mph cars start taking advantage.

Nothing quite like pushing a brick through the air at 80+mph, regardless of how much weight you drop out of it. A super duty truck just won't cut through the air like a modern muscle or 'sports' car will

I love beating up on sports cars... it really is one of my favored things to do..
Wish I could drop some pounds so my truck could start to be fast..

I must be missing something here. Doesn't a deleted and tuned 6.4 make between 550-600rwhp? At 5500lbs that should be trapping about 114mph in the 1/4 at just 553rwhp. Heck, Dustin was doing 12.8's in his tuned/deleted crew-cab long bed on 35's. I wouldn't think a 6.4 shorty would have much issue with most non-exotic sports cars on the street today.

Exactly. With just the tune, exhaust, and intake on my 6.0 (wiht 33" MTZ's) it was extremely rare that I'd get beat by anything on the street. Obviously there were things out there that could, but just not many.

Yeah the rcsb will be quick but stripped down, it's going to still tip the scales around 7000lbs
