lotta sti's and evo's around here....but those aren't much a of challenge. a lot with bolt ons too, so they look stock, and sound close to stock until they drop the hammer. but I think a tuned ccsb 4x4 could hang with a 300whp import.

You would have no problem with stock or relatively stock 5.0 (older) or 2v/4v 4.6 mustangs. Lt/ls camaros and cars like that. My 6.0 will walk 80's-2004 mustangs from light to light. Same with camaros. Any decent driver with a decently modified car will more than likely hand you your ass. As for 4wd hooking and cars not I've seen plenty of 4-500 horse cars with stock suspension hook of the street from a dig or roll. If you plan on beating up on older sports cars you'll have no problem unless they are more than just exhaust/intake type of cars. As for evos and wrxs I can beat my buddies 2012 wrx sti in my 6.0 also he has intake/exhaust and tuned.

Here, my regular cab wouldn't hang with anything unless it was built completely, even then, it would still get spanked 99% of the time... You ain't fast unless you're pushing 1k whp here, my old 580whp Camaro was bottom of the barrel 'fast' when I had it. Lots of our guys take the trip to the tx2k events to run em.

Lambos gtrs but mostly mustangs and corvettes. I kill corvettes for breakfast if it's a Manuel and has a kid driving it LOL i recently lost to a 2013 5.0 mustang with intake tune pro charger and exhaust.. And I tell you he spanked me by a full car length. Had slicks and was a nice looking car that I wished I had. Maybe a tranny will help with that car length gap between us

I don't know about your area but I rarely see any of those vehicles on the street around here, especially new ones. Just Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers, etc...

.

With those cars, you're talking low 13s high 12s depending upon driver, elevation, and numerous other factors.....most importantly, that's stock. 9 times out of 10 when you are gonna run one, its been modded.....with at least exhaust, as that's what usually catches my attention on the street. But even then, I just won't go pick on any car, I'll try to listen to it first, as I've had my ass handed to me more than once on a car that I thought "Ooooh I got this!!!" LOL

Subys, Evos and GTRs are a dime a dozen out here......there's a GTR club out here called "Money Aint A Factor" with a handful of low 10sec GTRs, with one or two dipping into the 9s....quite impressive.

One of the slower GTRs.......of course let's not foget about the 10sec flat Vette that wins this race.....

If all a procharged 5.0 on slicks put on you was a car length, then you either have a light 1k rw setup, or the driver of the car didnt know what he was doing.

I am thinking some of the guys that are driving the "Sports" cars cant drive. I have seen a lot of good HP diesels come to Famoso, but not too many can hang with a car on the big end just by the MPH in the quarter. Even then my 96 Impala can pull sub. 2.0 60' on street tires and 1.6-1.7 on drag tires so 4WD is not going to jump on me too hard. Then it comes to power to weight ratio, which most of the time a car is going to win that one.

Yea for sure he might have just put out enough to beat you.... I had a intake tune headers and crammed 5.0 put a hurtin on me off a light in my 4wd 6.4. I left the light at 12lbs and didn't let off I had the jump and he flat pummeled men but they're getting so serious about it down here now that if you drop a gear on an on ramp they'll pull you over. Stupid cops don't even let you have a little fun. Also the really fast cars down here you don't even hear because the exhausts are a huge red flag. All the kids run straights and they get them for decibel limits in town.

Well, I dont have to worry about loads of 500+hp cars around here. Just the typical older style pre 2010. A few newer ones closer to Houston but I dont get out that way much. Mainly what I have to worry about are all these high hp 4 door smarty and ppe tuned black smokin, big "C" and mossy oak camo decals in the back glass, teenage fag, windows down dip spittin out the window dodges...I hope the 6.4 can handle those or I will really be let down (sigh). Other than that Im just want a basic truck more or less to mess with them every once in a while....Pushing a brick down the highway..:eek:wned: Well I guess Ill just put a mustang front clip on it. :D

lol, you don't have to worry about **** down here!

there are some fast rides, but most of what you run into are coal oralers who don't have much of anything. I've embarrassed so many trucks in my CCLB utility body truck down here it's not even funny.

I can't wait to put the reg cab on the road. Matt just emailed my tunes about an hour ago! :D

Trust me. I'm racing 16 year old kids who think daddy's money and a Manuel is fast LOL trust me I would get skunked and now this car was involved in a car chase last week which ended up with a cop getting ran over. You can win any race against anyone when they don't know how to drive for ****. Also was thinking of getting enough money to go pull out a 5.0 and fully build that ho! :hammer:

Trust me, so the guy couldnt drive. Trust me, you should have been left in another zip code. Trust me, a transmission is a manUAL...the guy who mows my yard is manUEL...there's a difference.

I just don't race my truck... If I wanna go fast, I will just build another racecar. I'm thinking my next one will be an LSx swapped Foxbody with a big single and e85, shoot for 1k rwhp.

Not offended. Apparently spelling, or the english language aren't your strong point. I won't be a dik and bag on you for that, like a lot of guys will.

BUT...what I was saying was, through sarcasm, that I kmow there's no way you could have stayed within a car, if the guy knew what he was doing driving wise. I've been around these cars, and going fast for a long while, and thenew 5.0's are absolutely nuts with boost. The Novi cars are really getting it done, I've seen several guys dip into the 9's with a stock motor, intake to oil pan, stock manifolds etc..with a blower. At that point, they are kind of aiken to putting big power through a pmr 7.3 motor...some are lasting, others aren't. Guys who can't drive, are very good at giving cars bad names. Somebody will beat a new shelby, or barely lose to one, and then go running around spreading rumors that they can hang with one etc...which is why when I beat somebody, I stay in it..eliminate all doubt that they could catch up, or not. No sense in putting 1/2 a car on someone ajd pet out..what does that prove? Lol
