That must be a blast to drive man, congrats. And get some videos for sure, in cab speedo, track, hell even daily driving. How's the smoke on the bottom end from stop lights?

There was plenty of fuel in eric's tune. The H&S almost acted like a gas motor with a slower but more advanced timing curve on the top end. Erics was like a nitrous tune with a little less timing and more fuel in my opinion, but, I'm not a diesel tuner so I may just be talking out of my ass.

I feel ya. Maybe i can get Chris to run some 1/8 mile runs when he gets down here and we can get some slips where it counts

im guessing chris's truck weighs similar to mine, and will probaly run 12.50's or quicker. im happier than a pig in $hit for a dude i have never met. this is one build ive been really looking forward to seeing the results, and i think they are higher than expected. i ordered an h&s right after seeing the results, eve though i think erics tunes are always fastest at the track to date.

Erics x-race tune definitely looked like they would perform better at the track. Power coming on right about where converters stall and staying pretty broad, just never peaked where the H&S did. I'd love to see back to back at the track.

I def liked the broad torque curve of Eric's tune. A lot, actually. But, the shift on the fly is important to me. It makes it very convenient. Not a deal breaker, but, it is important to me. And... H&S still made more power, and wasn't as touchy on the pedal. Any other scenario, and I would have dont with Eric, but... if it is touchy to everyone else, it is WAY touchy for me, as I have no ankles to try to smooth out the application of the throttle. If Eric had on the fly shift capability, I would have got his tuning. Hands down. Even though I would have been bouncing through the speedo on slower take offs! lol!

Yup, just hurt some feelings today.... lol! I was heading into town because I needed a few bags of dog food, and I was playing around a little bit. Another Dodge with big fat stacks felt the need to impose his superiority.... So, I, DE superiorified his POS truck, much to his dismay! lol! while we were at it, a Challenger felt the need to stand up for his Dodge counterpart... Ooops! lol! That didn't go so well for his Hemi-stickered Dodge either....

Man, Aaron built me a retardedly fast rig! This thing moves out quite smartly! I am noticing a good bit of smoke though. I might give Eric's tunes a whirl later on. They only fell a little bit short, but they did clean up nicer than this one. seeing as how I didnt drop 25,500 on a new rig, I have a few bucks left to play with... lol!

Thanks again guys!

I really like my rig! This thing is so much fun, that it should be ( and is) illegal! lol! I need an onboard camera, so I can capture the faces of mustang drivers who get embarrassed by my 8500 pound truck! lol! Too much fun!

One thing, someone else had noted earlier, that this thing does smoke a bit with these tunes. Nothing like stock with a hot tune, but, it is more than hazy, even on light acceleration. I think when I get back up to NC, I might wanna give Eric's tunes a whirl for a while.

Hey thanks man, I appreciated the company! Hey, by the way, your rig sounds great! When you goosed it after I slid in the on ramp, that thing howls! Love the 7.3s!

I have a HERO cam, that I mounted to my bike when I was killing the mountains of Virginia a few years back... I wonder if it still works.... lol!

I noticed it seemed a little dirty that night we went for a ride Corb, dirtier than i though it should have been for mild on those turbos. But it is hard to tell at night because of all the way light travels through the smoke a haze can seem more than just a haze.

I have found on my truck that xrace smokes the least. You might give that a shot. Also be sure to.select aftermarket turbos

Sorry if im out of place to ask.. but is custom tunning on this truck not be best move?

absolutely doesnt need it. just need to find what base file plays nice. i know mine doesnt need it, but his makes more power , so it may be a different tune, but nothing custom.
