i have run both. better mileage with MCC but overall power and driveablilty is relatively similar.

easy 2mpg.

the major benefits i saw over canned tunes was the load based shift strategies and low to no smoke.

Awesome. The MPG gain makes it worth it by itself. I know that the canned tune at 5000 ft. is dirty as hell. I can black out an intersection in the tow tune.

Here is specifics. I have a 2008 6.4. I bought the Livewire TS 5015 off of Ebay for $900. It was preloaded with five custom tunes. You can search by EBay by typing 'SCT Livewire 6.4' Tuning was done by Mike Shimmack. I think he may have worked for a tuning company previously. Not sure.

But I do have a Livewire TS 5015 with custom tunes with dpf/cat and egr delete. Also I don't have to have ANY sensors plugged in because there are new updated tunes that do not require them.
