I'm running a single and loving the driving so far. For my application and where I'm located i'm throwing a little higher stall converter when the trans gets built. Hardest part is taking out the stock chargers, installing a single (I used Midwest's kit and can supply) and the install was so much easier then I could imagine doing a atmo swap. And I did mine cab on.

I'm following your thread closely because I'm pretty sure I'll go with the same turbo as you if I do go single. Just waiting for your results!

But how? Lol. I'm definitely not trying to put their kit down so don't take it that way. I just thought it was proved that divided housing spooled much better? I'm trying to learn here because I'm still trying to decide if I want a single or upgraded atmo.

It depends on what went into the engineering and R&D of the kit. It was proven on a particular setup that it worked better, which was most likely "off the shelf"...Here try this stuff.

I have seen the work bench that this kit was built from. Lots of housings laying around to try. Point being the time was put in to try many variations of housings to find what performed the best.

Just to clarify, I'm running a billet s366. Not H&S's custom turbo...

Had a bed load of this

While pulling this
u5anajud.jpg

Not sure on weight

Egt 650-850 going 45/60 mph

950-1150 going 70-80mph

Held 1150-1200 going 80 up a pretty good hill.

All egt's are varying speed with in the limits I posted. Cruising at 75 on flat land, seen around 650-750 egt

ECT- 199-207

EOT- 203-214

Oh and the boots hold now, max psi towing/hauling was 37.

Truck drove fine, couldn't tell any difference unloaded.

Hope they hold lol. I'm tired of it blowing off.

Also to add, I was running gear head tow tune. Keep the tow/haul button on in town, then off when I got on the highway. Pulls great with tow/haul engaged on the highway but rpms are screaming.

Man I love this truck! Finally got to do a few wot pulls. Fuggin rips!!!

Tune- gearhead street
Boost- 38psi
Egt- 1550 - defuel set at 1550. Scared to up it.
EBP-42psi
Oil and coolant stayed within 10 degrees of each other. Trans shifted like a dream, although I'm sure it hates life.

Layed on it in a turn, once the snail lit I was side ways. Little bit of a pucker factor lol

Boots are holding, everything seems to be running great. Although I'm sure studs are in the near future, along with valve terrain upgrades. Trucks also not pushing coolant like it was with the factory compounds.

So far I'm happy with the switch. It has taken some getting used to but I'm pleased with how it runs.

Debating a new turbo, stall and trans, or trac bars.... decisions

Rather not say. Not saying it's a bad kit as a whole I just had a issue with their new mount and didn't have a good experience with their customer service over it.

It's not ours....

Cody, what is the max boost you've seen?

With the setup we are running with just the cast 66 it will put out 50 psi at basically a hair over 1-1. Uses all the fuel that stock injectors can throw at it.

Matt turns off OD in tow-haul. This allows you to manually select 4th which is nice.

I'm surprised you're not seeing more boost at WOT though. His tunes are clean at WOT on my little truck and it won't do 1550 most of the time. What altitude are you at?

New turbo as in a bigger one? What size are you thinking?

H&S custom turbo. Not sure on size but it's a s300 frame.

It's not ours....

Max I have seen is 37. I just adjusted defuel setting to all off lol. So waiting on it to cool down then going to give her hell.

Morgan, what are y'all being able to spool up to? I can only get around 1-2 and it won't even roast the tires.
