ok nvm i just got off the phone with hypermax and he said thats what the mach 7 is for!!! he said the mach 7 will NOT interfear with the trans tuning of the sct. it only controls the engine tuning and it has a switch to adjust power levels on the fly.

How will it be adjusted to tune for your larger turbo and injectors though?

can you tell me why i would blow it up? are you just saying that bc thats what everyone tells you? come on man quit playing follow the leader and read why im asking. im not one of those guys wanting to stack for more power, i have enough.

Lol.....yes am just playing follow the leader.

its a non vgt turbo how would you tune it??

as far as the injectors go idk? i am by no means a custom tune writer but ive ran my truck without any tuning at all and it runs great, just wont fuel as much. soooo im assuming injectors are controlled with the pulse width....ok the hypermax is doing the same thing throughout the power levels.

remember this is me assuming. anyone with more ed. on custom tuning please correct me.

and this is tuning with a non-vgt turbo

By the way, I think Innovative is working on "remotely tuning" the FICM.....IIRC, might be a route you wanna look into

your not getting my point. im not trying to make more power through the ficm. im trying to switch through my power capabilitys on the fly.

You know Matt, you might want to give Bill @ PHP a call and see what he has to say. I'll bring up the Edge Evolution CTS as an example, (at least the "juice with attitude" CTS does) it has 5 shift on the fly power levels. Now I dont know if they are ECM only tunes or ECM and TCM tunes but I do know that Bill has what is known as the Gryphon CTS (his own custom tunes on an Evolution CTS) and he may be able to tell you whether or not he could make it do shift on the fly tuning. In theory He could write like 5 different ECM tunes all tailored to your setup and there you would have it. I am sure there is something that I am missing but I figured I would try and help if I could.

not trying to be rude if it reads that way

I understand that......and thanks for the second post explaining you're post, didn't mean to bust your balls earlier, I jumped the gun based on your post count thinking you were simply trying to "stack" chips/programmers, my bad

Back on point, based on your first post, I thought you were getting at the fact you wanted to adjust your fuel on the fly, which is why I suggested looking into innovative and what exactly "remotely" means and if that could be done on the fly. But based on the post I quoted sounds like you want to go from tune to tune without stopping, am I correct???......if that's case then H&S might have the platform you are looking for, with its on the fly tuning.....

Or I've completely missed the point of this thread, in which case I'll just take my ball and shut up, lol

Or H&S... and custom tuners for them like KEM... Just a thought :D

Well the Hypermax is a "canned" out-of-the-box tuner that is made to work with stock trucks, and stock trucks only. It's not written for all the modifications you have installed. It would be no different than slapping an Edge Juice on it.

No that's hitting the nail on the head!! BUT I think the h&s will interfear with my sct, but I'm going to look into that! Thanks for that idea, but I'm trying to stay away from having a display screen. There also very proud of there stuff! Lol

Yea I dont know if his devices have on the fly shifting but I do know that he writes his own custom ECM/TCM tunes for the Edge Evolution CTS.

Not sure for the 6.0, but when you get a custom tune from KEM with the H&S, you loose the on-the-fly part....kinda sucks

Could always go with the hand held XRT.......its been mentioned, but I'll back it up, I met and saw Bill@PHP custom tune 6.0s last year in North Carolina, and everyone was very, very impressed

Just food for thought.....it's A LOT more than one variable when talking about controlling your fuel on the fly: you have to consider how much fuel, how much timing, duration, throttle position, etc.. Put any of these out of line with the other, and it's a recipie for disaster. Hand in hand with these are shift points, boost, yada, yada, yada. (Yeah, I just yada yada yada'd tuning). You're right back to having a "shift on the fly" programmer.

Not worth it, IMO.

Dosent quadzilla have sme of these functions on their tuners? As far as I can tell from my older version of the evo you have to stop and flash the truck just like the sct. From the looks of it the op has a 03-04 truck which take forever to swap tunes. Adding ficm tuning though could help with your current tunes and open up fueling so you could run a lower hp tuner and have better drivability. Bill at php has a tuner that does multiple ficm tune files. In theory from what I have read you could play around with the sct's ecm/tcm tuning stacked with bills ficm tuning and find a combination of the group that best fits your needs
