Im going to put traction bars on it that will allow articulation at some point.... but that takes time and the more time I spend on this truck the less time I have to make money... the less money I make the less parts I can buy...... right now Ive been spending to much time on this project if you get my drift lol

What about a "torque arm".....follows along the driveshaft, really shouldn't mess with articulation or travel......although I wouldn't mount it to the back of the t-case, like they did in this pic LOL

Well I was going to mount my bypass shocks On the traction bars (they are going to be built like radius arms) so the shocks are less travel and are further up in my bed cage. But I haven't finalized anything yet. But I would think sand will complicate a axle wrap issue

I understand. Now get back to work.

I think shims would be easier then cutting and rewelding the perches.....

Sure, take the easy way out.

I just went out on the roads at my house (gravel) and did some testing and when I'm getting on it hard I'm really picking up my front left corner and setting down the back right corner. I never noticed how much it was because I was always focusing on the road/keeping it straight etc. Now I don't have my sway bar hooked up (going to have to change with the 4 link I know) but still the radius arms are a pretty good sway bar and it doesn't roll much at all in a corner. So that right there shows how soft the leafs are.

I guess I need to just get a traction bar set up in the works.

I wish mine were that soft. You know how projects are, fix one thing and another issues comes to light. Just dont beat on it to hard and you should be ok until you get it fixed.

yeah the only time It does it is when I go over half throttle on pavement. on dirt its ok because if I go over half throttle im spinning so its not loading it lol On the sand however I see that being different.

this thing gets pretty crazy when you really light the turbos up on dirt thats for sure lol

put the truck to work today since my 05 is in the shop being used to fab up some parts. The trailer even unloaded seemed to aggravate the vibration is why I brought this up.

Why?

not trying to be an ass just curious

I had a truck with similar issues after swapping leafs in the rear.
Static ride height the axle was completely centered. Under bump the axle would shift forward.
After a whole lot of screwing around we decided that the shackle length was too long. Basically the longer shackle was increasing pinion angle right off the bat and having the shackle at the rear was causing the axle center-line to shift forward under bump. Both were contributing to bind in the drive-train.

I'm sure I'm over thinking things, and you've just got a little bit of axle wrap going on, but that's how my brain work.

Did you do anything to the shackles when installing the Deavers?
