Well i got my return fitting today!

Got it on and its now able to start and not leak diesel all over the place!!!!

I had it running for about an hour and i think it might be #8 injector spraying to much fuel in, my infared thermometer said that cylinder was the coldest. But im gonna do more testing later

Other way around, to much fuel would be hot. 8 may be lean which IIRC is somewhat normal. They have a long lead injector for that reason. Its last on the fuel system and last on the hpop system

Well its to much fuel its choking the cylinder to not fire and thus giving me alot of white/blue smoke

good project man... keeps ya from wasting it on women! Are you in a school diesel program?

sadly i have to balance it with a woman too :poke:

Yes i go to Ohio Technical college for Diesel, Its more for Heavy Duty Diesel but I have plans to do more work on light/medium duty with a slight mix of heavy stuff when needed.

Currently im trying to get in with the local Ford Dealership.

nice, you think it will be road worthy after the injectors?

yea i know it will be. I mean i can drive it up and down the road now it runs just fine but smokes like crazy from the dead cylinder

Dang nice find!

thanks! i just kept searching searching and finally my paitence paid off and i got a super duty like i wanted

My truck was 2k..... I want to find deals like this LOL

craiglist is my greatest friend, my girlfriend hates how much i search it

I paid 2500 for mine, its almost the same truck. Just less ghetto stuff LOL

Oh and it needed some sensors.

thats the worst thing i hate about buying used vehicles and especially deal trucks

Thats how mine was, it was the bossmans truck to start but when he got a new ride he put it in the hands of the crew. I used to go to the mudhole and hear stories from people that "drovr" the truck because they recognize a dent, or the pu1 on the fender. And I'm just like :fustrate:

It also has a reman engine that it got at some point in its life..

Atleast you got a reman engine lol. Mine though feels real good for 340,000

The frame was coated and painted. Fluids were kept good.

Then sone1 with a kid let loose on the interior....

Good thing I got salvage yards around me!

You can do anything you want, as long as you don't break rule #1

at school do you have access to a flow bench for the injectors? Its pretty cool watching them run. For me, doing injectors is not a lot of fun, so I want to know how they run before I put them in...
