It is purple its just still stuck on the flexplate not in the bell housing. At least from the dark shot under the truck it looks purple to me.

its black as night i double checked... If they in fact dont make black ones David has some explainig to do on monday.. checked my reciept and it clearly says precision TQ converter price was just over $1100

Does it look similar aside from color? Brian said the purple paint is a special paint that will distort color over a certain temperature

its still mounted to the flywheel.. I cant roll the engine over to access the bolts and see the rear of it or even take it off for that matter. Im not sure what the front of one looks like? and that thing looks lik it was black from the get go, still looks new.

Dont put the trans back in with the converter bolted to the flywheel.... If you do I see pump failure in your future.

Don't worry about that, motor has to come out seeing as it has 2 holes in it

Not sure what you mean but the flex plate is bolted to the converter, no studs

my b&m converter was black and looked just like a pi. Just throwing that out there. I can't believe David intentionally would rip anyone off.
