^ This is true.

Wasn't what I (we) were suppose to get, and for what I paid, there was no way I was going to take just a 62/68/70 turbo by itself... :axe:

Yeah they were suppose to Release a custom gated turbine housing that bolted to a factory '05-07 pedestal and use a factory drain line....big fail. Only other person I know running the same turbo from is redracer62(Brody)

who did the intake

The intake is from Diesel Dr.

where did u get all your piping nd bends from looks great man ?

Thanks, I picked them up from race parts solutions and columbia river. RPS had a little better pricing, but columbia river has more selection of sizes and bends. The bellows are from vibrant.

Wish I would have kept my 64/71/.70 for my twin setup.
That thing had a 1:1 ratio right to 40 psi.
Only thing I would change is the hose discharge on it...I would weld a v band connector on it so you don't join the "blew a boot, and dented the hood" group.

The drive to boost ratio is the main reason I wanted this turbo for the high pressure. That pedestal that I built was just for temporary use. It was okay, but still way better than the "pedestal" that the turbo came with lol I won't be welding on a v-band, for now, but I will be using a boost brace, and the way the turbo will be mounted, even if I blow a boot, it won't be denting the hood. That is the plan anyway. If it doesn't work, then a v-band will be next.

I finally got my hands on an E-series harness so my FICM can go someplace else. I took some time on Saturday, had to visit family on Sunday, to fab up the low pressure turbo pedestal and start stripping off the motor in the truck to test fit everything as I go and start on the high pressure oil system. Here is a couple pis of the low pressure mounted on my mock up motor.

Unless your gonna run a 3" cowl hood...I don't think there is enough room for the primary on top.
Hope I'm wrong, and you come up with a new way of running the setup.

Good luck.

If my measurements are correct, it should just fit. As soon as I get the old up-pipes out, I will try to stuff it in the truck. Assuming the low pressure fits, the high pressure will be mounted over the driver's side valve cover. I wanted to mount it perpendicular to the low pressure, like a 6.4, but that won't work, unless I am okay with removing the entire brake system... So, it looks like the turbos will be mounted side by side with the compressor housing facing forward. The FICM and Degas bottle will be relocated.

Why the atmo in the valley then? Seem like the exhaust plumbing will be a bit complicated in that configuration.

I'm curious as to how feeding the primary first would work...being that the two turbos are so close together, it should work good...

It probably wouldn't.

I could be way off, but since there would be no pressure drop between stages that turbo would have a hard time doing anything.

Oh yeah....had a brain fart there...:badidea::morons:

It would have extremely low boost because the primary would be waiting for all the exhaust to flow through the secondary's housing before it could do anything.

I guess I just wanted to be different and I really don't like the idea of putting my low pressure in the fender well to get all kinds of dirt and road salt (they salt like nuts in winter) splashed on it. I know that probably is not really a concern but whatever. Mostly I just want to build something that not many people have done. I also like the idea of shortening the plumbing to hopefully keep the exhaust gas velocity higher. Don't know if it will actually make a difference.

That's understandable. Are you feeding the big guy first? That will practically defeat the purpose of compounds if so. But I do like the ass to mouth setup in the valley, its going to really help exhaust velocity compared to a kit like mine.

Nope, feeding the little guy first. I agree that it won't work the other way. I wish I could do a true ass to mouth setup, but there just isn't quite enough room. I will have just a 90 of pipe between the two.

Its possible. Just a cluster fack, If you have to work on them. Elite has made some sweet biscuit ass to mouth setups.
