These transmissions shift from 3-5. The direct clutch is for reverse and 5th.

How is reverse?

Reverse works fine. And like I said I only put 10 miles on it maybe with these new tunes. And that's when it started.
By the way have you guys ever heard like a ticking noise from the passenger side of the engine? Just a little tick tick tick over and over. When it's cold and warm. Idles fine. Anything wrong? Just paranoid?

Sounds like a solenoid to me.

No. Solenoid in the transmission(u have solenoids on the valve body). Sounds to me (from what my old Trans did) the line pressure control solenoid is acting up, this solenoid is tricky to change. Not as easy as changing the dd solenoid etc.

It's just so weird that I've never had any problem till I loaded those gearhead tunes. And like I said I've only driven it about 10 miles since I did the work and it's been acting up. Was thinking about upgrading transmission anyways. Was expecting this soon

I'm guessing the direct clutch solenoid doesn't give you any warming before it goes cause all I did was throw some injectors some new tunes and there it went. Didn't notice anything before that.

depends. if its getting plugged up it will slowly get worse. If it has an electrical failure it can happen all of the sudden.

Thank you. I ordered a modified direct clutch and I'm hoping that will take care of it but if not truck may sit for awhile haha thinking the stage three twisted transmission when it comes time
