Ok so i finally got to look at the truck re installed the pcm. With out my chip. Charged the batteries. One is swelled pretty good. So new ones are in order. If i can figure this out.

I installed the new cluster. Plugged the modis in and nothing. It wont power on. So im guessing its fried? I hate to buy new batteries and a pcm to have that not.be the problem.

Pcm is in. Chip is out. I sprayed eithet directly in the turbo just mow. And it rolls over unburnt either is smoking out my stacks but it will not fire. According to the guage cluster it is reading rpms but.my wait to start light is not comming on.

Check the fuse for ur power point on the dash, also the #22 underhood fuse iirc

Going back to page one on this one:

PCM.

Check the fuses. If the fuse is bad, replace it. If the fuse is good and still no WTS.... THE FRIGGIN PCM IS DEAD.

I thought it would register rpms if the pcm is fried. I sold some toyota crawler parts and my camper today so.tomorrow ill ne buying batteries from sears and ordering a pcm. If yall think itll run then


I was spraying and trying to start my self. It did seem to speed up the cranking with either but wouldnt start. Thats what has me worried.

Aside from blatant maintenance requirements like engine oil, good luck breaking a stock 7.3 engine.

Seriously. Good luck with that. I know there have been QC issues with some stock engines, as with anything mechanical, but putting a chip on a stock 7.3 engine is just not tickling it's structural funny bone. At all....

Your only hope if you were to set out with the sole goal of breaking a stock motor would be to melt it down.

as said before check fuses.the fuse that turns on the wait to start light is also used to power the pcm relay. fuse no good, pcm no work. pcm no work, no talk with scanner.

Fuses are all good with the exception of the one for my tail lights under the hood. And that wont stay. As my harness is melted at the switch.

I believe someone owes someone else 20 bucks on a bet. As i actually got off my lazy as! And put some diag. Time in this weekend.

Still doesn't rule out a fried pcm. If your modis wont communicate then you still have electrical issues.

And you could have never ran the chip and probably still had the same issue. A bone stock truck can and will fail ever so often as it's made of parts produced by mortals.

But rest assured that the bearings, rods, pistons, block, heads, gaskets and all else gave not one damn about the whopping 215rwhp you were making... if that...

You pretty much turned your OBS up to stock superduty power, and had a bs problem.

To the OP...... what BRAND of ether are you using??? Get some JOHN DEERE ether and report back. If the engine does not...

A. Fire and run for 1 to 2 seconds

or..

B. Pitch a rod or two clean through the side of the block


Then you aren't spraying enough, or the engine in fact has NO compression.

New batteries will b here today. I ordered a pcm should be here sometime this week. And i ordered pedastal rings. Also the rings for the fuel bowl valve.
