Off topic but did you ever race at the flashlight drags in Ebensburg? I ran a truck just like yours one time there and wondered if it was you...

2000 F250 2wd stock height, 20x10 wheels with 4.5" backspace (forgot the offset) and 305/55/20 tires. No rubbing with the 05 conversion after pulling back the inner fender liner a little with a zip tie. I did have to hit the front bottom corner of the 2000 bumper with a hammer a little bit.

Blocks in the front are a no no a mini spring pack is what you need and better would be a hanger kit

I think running front blocks is even illegal in Texas

Really!? I have been running these 2.5 billet blocks for years and never had an issue. They are bolted to the bottom of the spring cup. How would they come out??

Sorry if I'm derailing the thread.

Anyone with 20x10 wheels and 285's?

I'd like a tad bit narrower tire but I don't want the "SoCal" look.

I personally don't think a 20x10 and 285 combo would work out good. Seems like the tire would be a little stretched. I wouldn't go any wider than a 20x9 with a 285. A 285 is what....11.5" wide or so?

How tall is a 305/70r?

Height will depend on rim size. The first number represents the width of the tire in mm I believe. The second number is a proportion of the first and will help to determine side wall height.

For example 305/70 r 20 :

305/25.4 = 12.008 inches wide.

12.008 x .70 (second number in the tire size as a decimal) = 8.4.

8.4 is the height of one half of the tires sidewall.

You have top and bottom sidewall, so you double the 8.4 = 16.8

Take the sidewall height, and add rim diameter (20), and you have a tire that is almost 37 inches tall (36.8).

That tire on 18's would be 34.8" tall, on 16's would be 32.8" tall.

Yeah...that's really narrow for a 10" wide wheel. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that but I know plenty of people run 12.50's on 12" wide wheels.

12.50s on 22x14s Hahaha
They will be fine.
