Down to -30, my truck has never once smoked.... let alone like that. I don't think that's normal by any stretch.

agreed. mine has smoked a wee white haze down and its been down to -10 - -15 degrees.. nothing that excessive though... although it has smoked that excessive while driving..

Anything below -15C and I haze at start up, especially if the truck has not been plugged in. You should see some of the hotel parking lots in the winter up north. Glorious, diesel haze thick enough to choke a moose. LOVE IT.

Yeah that video didnt look much different than any other vehicle on a cold morning to me.

Any other vehicle. These arent gas motors. My 6.0 never smoked like that. Our two cummins dont smoke like that either. Now, the family mini van does smoke like that yea lol. None of our tractors smoke like that either. Our big rigs smoke a puff of white on startup when cold and while haze for maybe 10 seconds but nothing like this. After 15 mins of idle time pouring white smoke.

Pickups and tractors no. Semis get plugged in sometimes yes. I consider this to be more than a haze and it really wasnt that cold even though it was 15. No wind or anything.

That's normal at that temp. Mines do e it since day one. It's cold and the temp differences between the rings, block and suck let some oil by. The white smoke is due to the cold weather and hot exhaust meeting. Once warm the rings seal. The white smoke doesn't go away, may be gone while cruising but accelerate and it comes back till you let off.

I understand this. Thanks

Thats true. Ya mine clears up as well after a little driving. Steam, smoke whichever it may be. I think mine may have to do with some water build up being in the bottom of my intercooler but IDK.

Proof that they will smoke. -16c plugged in over night. Should be colder tomorrow night. Below -20c. I won't plug it in and will get pics. As much as I hate to cold start my truck at those temps I will for the team and to put this to rest once and for all LOL
