Were you losing coolant or was it not noticeable? My coolant level has not changed since studs and delete back in November or so

Mine still smokes after startup, but it isn't coolant, level hasn't moved at all. No oil in the down pipe. I'll try and take a vid.

Mine will smoke or steam a long while after start up. No water dripped out of intercooler when cab was up and I dont believe it to be oil. My coolant level hasnt moved. I noticed something odd today when I shut truck off in that I could here oil from the top of the motor dropping into the pan like it plopped in there. I am getting paranoid with this dang truck.

If its moisture in the I/C usually when driving in the rain or humid weather it will puff white smoke. Mine was obvious only in the rain though, It would even skip if the humidity was bad enough. Ford put a new one on under warranty.

Could possibly be ur turbos going out. Pull the intake and see if there's shaft play.

That's the answer I knew I'd hear.. Because its the same symptoms I had when the turbos went out 11k miles ago and I put a new 71mm and new high pressure from elite. They were installed in September an have 11k miles on then.

What kind of motor oil are you using.

Bringing this back to life. I have some smoke on shut down now. Shut truck off today and noticed some smoke exiting the tail pipe. It was a short truck and truck did not get up to operating temp.

Am I getting paranoid or has anyone else seen some white smoke or steam on shut down?

I am just going to add to this thread. 15 degree cold start this morning. Its been running for a couple minutes and still smoking. Has like a blue haze and doesnt smell like oil but kinda smells like fuel. Did not notice this before studs and egr delete. I drove a bit and it still smoked but stopped after truck warmed up some. Builds boost fine. No abnormal noises besides some valvetrain chatter I believe it to be. This look like an injector issue? Clears up once truck warms up some.

That's normal at that temp. Mines do e it since day one. It's cold and the temp differences between the rings, block and suck let some oil by. The white smoke is due to the cold weather and hot exhaust meeting. Once warm the rings seal. The white smoke doesn't go away, may be gone while cruising but accelerate and it comes back till you let off.
