Friday Steve! Picked up enough wire to wrap a 12 ft Christmas tree to extend the FICM today. The magical injectors will go in, and it "should" be ready to start by Sunday..

UPS crossing the border is ALWAYS a mess...we had material sitting at some holding facility for a month before UPS got whatever paperwork they needed to the right agencies...our manufacturer reshipped the material on truck freight and it beat the original UPS shipment...

This was my first UPS run around. THE worst. I will be waiting on my porch in a lawn chair, cooler by my side until the Brown Santa comes. Lol.

3.5 hours in to extending the FICM harness, only one half of one connector done. They are solid connections, even though they may look clumpy in some areas. Rosin core flux and wire. Works great. (Well ventilated)

Here's a tip...stagger the cuts so the splices are not all in the same spot.

The lengths will still be the same, just spliced in a different spot.

Just so there isnt a big clump of connections...
Makes it easier to work on too.

Thanks Ivan! I wish I logged on earlier lol. Thats why I post these things for feedback. I'm doing staggered connections on the second plug.

First one is done, those wires clumped together look like tumors. (I'm sure you can tell I don't do this often)

I lengthened a harness before, its sitting in the garage waiting. Staggered is the best way to do it . Nice work Morgan.

Thanks Greg. Got her all finished up. Took roughly 10 hrs. Soldering takes time, but I'd hate to have a connector come loose and create a miss or kill the FICM while I'm driving.
