I believe i once read on here that the powdered metal can make as much power as forged rods but the powered metal need more metal in different areas that the forged. But i read that in the 7.3 forum so i could be wrong.
Could it be possible that the vanes in your turbo are stuck closed causing excessive backpressure? Basically like a smoke switch does. Maybe I'm way off just my idea.
I had hids in a stock the aftermarket clear housing and the light wasn't that great better than stock but I got the brights from some people. I went to the the hideous ebay projectors and now i can see better and they do not blind people but they are extremely hard to adjust.

I had the same problem. I went to a junk yard and got the whole assembly for about $25. I for holding the hinge on I got a about a 2" by 2" piece of flat and threaded it and used the factory bolt. It's been probly one and a half years and no problems yet.
