I had my eyes on a prebuilt set of 205's, to which I spoke to Jess about modifying the nozzle size. His suggestion was 205/75. but I should also see some good results with 190/75's. Later that afternoon I found out the 205's are no longer available. Back to the drawing board....

I believe that if I am going to pay the full price for an injector modification I will have to go with 190/75's, mostly because that seems like it will be the safest bet for ICP sake. I admit that I am having a "go big or go home" battle with myself though. If anyone has a good reason to go with 205/75's lets hear it.

PS
And oh yeah I am doing the happy dance, I have over 20 "yay" sayers!!!!!:rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon:

I don't remember the number exactly, Matt said it was maxed out.

Ya Jesse it looks like its getting fuel..but the truck falls on its face after about a half throttle, its only when you hit that third stage of the pedal. It won't even spin the tires like it used to with stock sticks or 190/75's. No seat of the pants feel anymore. 2.2 volts at the sensor sustained at WOT.

Most trucks dont drop that low with your size injector all trucks are different :fustrate:

The actuator controls have been ordered as of yesterday. They are coming from outside the country and I expect to see them between Christmas and New Years.

I need to find a pigtail plug for the 6.4l actuator, would anyone have an idea where I could find one? Searching online I only see ones for the 6.0l, I tried a local auto parts place and they laughed. I will try calling the stealership next but I am trying to avoid that.

well if you want useful input, i'd say don't get any injectors until you're sure the turbos will work right with stock fuel. THEN look at bumping up injector size.

205/75 will be a fun street injector and low smoke. Dont listen to these goons of what too big or too small or a waste of an injector.

If the goal is to sell them as a kit and get people to buy them. Then keep to the original goal to get them to work. Check the power gains. Then step up injectors at that point. To take the truck apart and upgrade everything will not give you any data to how well or good this mod really is. Also if you over do it on injectors then you will have to either pull fuel or swap to different turbos. Which I thought the whole point was to put 6.4 turbos on a 6.0 as a budget up grade. Not a modd it past the turbos then say it won't work/ can't work. If your going 205cc injectors I'd scrap the 6.4 turbos and go a different route. Just my opinion. I want to see this work but I don't want you to fail because your goal changed midship.

Randy,
Thanks for the reality check. I have a hard time doing things multiple times so I started thinking if I am all the way down to the injectors I might as well do that while I am there, but you're right......

I want a dyno and track times first. Even if I keep stock fueling the the HP and torque curve would most likely shift to a lower RPM with the assumption that the turbo's will perform like they do on a 6.4.

I've seen 205-75's do 650rwhp on fuel 750 on spray. Nozzle size is over rated.

From my smart car.

Christmas Eve my electronics for the VGT control showed up, I immediately got to work on a wiring harness, contacted Lee over at Reiff Diesel for a 6.4 actuator pigtail, which arrived yesterday, I ordered a new connector to wire in with the 6.0 VGT control wires, which came today. Sunday will be devoted to finishing up the harness and getting the controller powered up and running, from then it will be a matter of programming the controller to respond to the 6.0's voltage commands.

My intake pipes arrived today thanks to Chad at Trusted Performance. The VGT controll has been slow going due to A.) being an electronicly challenged (specificaly CAN) and B.) work is OVERWHELMING since the hurricane, but by no means am I complaining. My buddy just acquired a shop and we just cut a 10' garage door opening in so that he can pull SD's and etc in. Just another step closer, be back soon with more updates.
