Is the back pressure a serious issue though?

Pardon my inexperience but what is the point in feeding the back of the heads versus the front?

So instead of having the regulator and all that crap at the front of the motor it's at the back affording you the option to mount it say to the firewall, and only having the return line to deal with at the front of the head. That makes logical sense.

Which fittings on the pump are the return? I'm assuming it's the two that are back to back and not the two that are offset. I got my used one today but one fitting is broke off, but I'm pretty sure it's one of the return ones which isn't a big deal if it is
