its harder on converters but running them hard is too.. its up to you if you feel its worth the risk for better e.t. at the track. it eliminates the short shift you have to make going from 1st to 2nd. dmax guys do second and third gears starts fairly often.

a truck that was running 13.0 at 107 , with 1.8 60ft, went to 12.40 @ 109 launching in 2nd . helps a ton on the piles.

No need for a custom tune. Just put the shift lever in "M" and hit the + button to highlight 2nd gear. Then floor it.

That's all I do. Seems more sluggish off the line by a touch but pulls a lot harder but mine is still slow and heavy.
