Not sure what this proves though? These are all dedicated drag racing or pulling trucks. They can justify throwing gobs of water/meth or nitrous at the thing because it's only for a few seconds, and they are torn down every season or multiple times a season. You are talking about using your truck as a DD. Not the same whatsoever.
I commend you for leading the charge into new things with the 6.7, but I certainly think there is a smarter way to do it than just throwing sh!t at it haphazardly. In the end, it is your money and whatnot, but damn...
I feel like you think because I'm young I have no clue about anything........ But I do. Haha
I'll give you a little insight about myself incase it's not obvious, I'm not main stream at all. If everyone else is doing it, I'm off doing something else. For example my first truck back in highschool (2008)...
Started out as a 4.6L v6, (99 f150) but once that engine blew up, I wanted a diesel. Didn't have enough money saved up for a cummins quite yet. But I did have enough money for an 82 Mercedes 300SD. After I spent countless hours in my parents attached garage after school I ended up with a 99f150 with a om617.951 engine/ Mercedes 4spd auto. 2wd truck made driveline easy... Dropped tank, cleaned it out filled it with diesel, ripped the fuel filler neck flap out so a diesel nozzle would fit in there and of course put a stack in the box.
Did it work? Hardly. Highway gears in the Ford kept the Mercedes engine too low in its rpm range on the highway making it sluggish. 0-60 mph in 1min 20sec. Awesome mileage! 1000km/ 100L tank. But did anyone else have one? Nope. And did I learn a lot? Oh yeah!
Might not make sense to most people why I do what I do, but I do it for the lols and to educate myself. How else will I get old and wise? Tell my children "you must always intercooler your Diesel engine" and when they ask why all I'll be able to tell them is "cause the guys on psa said so"... Hahaha
Wiring could have been neater
Notice the Mercedes cluster mounted in the Ford dash... Was the easiest way for me to get a few gauges to work... Fuel level gauge didn't work
