how would the 369 compare to an HTT 371? i hear great things about those also
On paper the 69 actually outflows the 71. The 371 uses the clipped turbine wheel where the 69 doesn't. So it's hard to say which is going to be best for peak power. The 69 should drive and spool much better and will be quite a bit cheaper.

Hard to say honestly. I had the 371 on mine and it feels a little stronger than Alex's 369. However two totally different trucks and mine has a few more engine mods. So its not an apple to apple comparison. But I think the spool up of the 369 is better, but might lack a little top end over the 371 due to the turbine design. But I think the 369 is the all around better choice over the two.

Old set up - 225/75 s371 - Peak EGT 1,350 degree
New set up - 225/30 s366SX-E - Peak EGT 1,400 degree and climbing (backed out of the throttle)

Spool up is better on the new design but lacks the ability to clean my smaller injectors up on top end.

The s371 cleaned 100% of my fuel and dyno'd 709 rwhp.

I know it isnt 100% apples to apples, but it gives you some information that might help. In my opinion, the s371 from HTT was a beast.

I was really happy with my S371, I also really like the S369 too. I think it sort of bridges the gap, and spool up is better with the 369 than the 371. But yeah the 371 does have some good mid and top end power.

Do small nozzles give you egt problems lije they do on 7.3s? In our world a slower nozzle makes hot power outside a certain point. You can do the same with a larger nozzle but with cool egts.

It's all pulse width dependent.

I have a 6.0 Truck and planning on getting the s369, and running 190/100's. Trying to make 600hp or little more, does this sound like a good way to go? Looking for some input because I will tow occasionally

S364.5 will make 580-600 and tow really well.

The 369 will also meet your goals but you'll be watching your gauges.

Towed this the other day. S366, 205/100's, and a GH tow file it wouldn't break 1200 at wot but had the power pulled back big time and she was still smokey around town. I have 4.30 gears too

It'll work, I was really surprised how much fuel GH was able to pull on the tow tune.. But it was necessary to keep the egt in check. You'll be stuck on tow/haul but it will work.

Unless you have 3.73's and 37's or something like that... That would be a nightmare

You should be alright. The control of the zf6 will help immensely. If I could select gears towing would be much easier.

I appreciate your input, and that's a nice looking truck you have!
Still hoping to see few more test vids on the 369 on here. Maybe a dyno sheet 😀

As mentioned before, s364 would be a great option for you if you are only wanting 600 rwhp.

I just put the s366 on mine and was surprised by how much power was left in it when paired with 30% nozzles. I estimate mid to upper 600s on the s366SX-E

I would recommend smaller nozzles on your injectors if you plan to tow.

So are you recommending something more like 190/30's or 50's over to 100 to keep it more tow friendly? I don't tow a lot, but there is occasions where I have had to tow 10k for friend's

I do landscaping and have another truck I use most the time to pull, but my 6.0 has to be there for backup in case something happens

I think you would like a 64.5 and 190/30's. Makes awesome noises, would spool very quick, tow damn near anything and still get you close or surpass your goals.

With a zf6, lets be honest.. You won't be winning many races so you may as well just make it as fun as possible and after having an s366 I think something slightly smaller would have a little more fun factor.

Definitely going to consider your input, and will probably be the route I'll go. Thanks again
