390/40r17 is the biggest that m&h makes. But they have really been expanding sizes. They now have tires for 18" wheels. Just be a matter of time before we can get a 32/13.50r18.... That would be awesome.

Yea that size would be great. I'd like something a little taller. On the wheels. I noticed they have a lot less backspacing like 4.5 compared to factory 6 on a 20x8. Anxious to see how far they stick out with the 10" wheel. I wish they sold a 10" wheel where you could tuck it under the truck like a 6.5 backspacing at least. Can't wait to see it.

Ya it's definitely going to stick out a good amount, but trying to find rims for slick application on these is very limited, unless you back date the brakes and run 16"

Their just for the track anyways, the Harley rims and 420's are for street duty... Got the tranny back in last light, buttoned up the top of the motor. should have everything done in the next day or so then, I'm just waiting on the 75mm to arrive then the cab can come back down... In the mean time I'll get started on the cage install

made a little progress tonight on a few different things. Started off cleaning and painting the frame, then i finalized the fuel system, finished up the 6.0l manifolds (ported and vbanded) the drivers side up pipe is done, and i spent some time on the gate position on the passenger side. Also got the ATI dampener on, couldn't manage to get the AC belt on, It appears that it needs a bigger belt because the dampener is bigger in diameter ... i know, AC on a race truck?, but I'm sure i will appreciate it on those hot days this summer lol... and i also thought i would try something i haven't seen before, since I'm eliminating the fuel cooler and vgt cooler assembly, ( going to just add the vgt to the coolant system) i thought i would make the cast turbo elbow a little more visually appealing. spent about an hour with the band saw, hack saw, and 40 grit on the DA sander. It still needs some finishing and a coat of paint but you get the idea

first picture is where I'm at now, second picture is the bottom of the same piece but it gives you the idea of what the top looked like, took a lot of aluminium off of it

We had a guy here locally a couple years back that would take steel wheels and widen them any backspacing you wanted. Might check into widening the steel xl 17s and use them for slicks. Would look pretty cool.

I bought 23 yards and still have 2 yards left over, if you plan it out you can use cut off pieces for other things, for example the 24"strip that I cut off of the bottom of the box sides I used for the roll pan and front bumper

I haven't had time to do an update lately, been waiting on the 75mm still so I dropped the cab back down and got to work on the roll cage this past week after work, it's all mocked up with the swing away door bars in place. I plan on finish tigging it tomorrow and installing the main hoop then I'll do the two rear bars which are gonna a pain I think... I'll take pictures tomorrow. Got the mishimoto Intercooler and installed it along with a new and wrapped front bumper. I received the No Limit intake which looks very nice. The cal tracs also came in which needed to be custom made because of the lowering kit, and again they appear to be very nice peices. Regarding the rear end I went with a true trac, 3.55 and a Yukon rebuild kit, once the truck is back on the road I'll have that all installed. All in all its coming together well, just one more peice of the puzzle needed

Well its up and running! we had some late nights Thursday, Friday, Saterday and finished it all up. I fired it Monday night and has run perfect, no codes, smoke or leaks. ive only put probably 20 miles on it because of the crappy weather but I am really happy with how part one of the build has come together. the uppipes/ gate arrangement came out really nice and I only had to do some light "massaging" to the firewall up top to clear the gate, have lots of room under the hood now !

im still playing with the gate and cal tracks but between them and the built tranny its shifts fantastic with a very quick firm lock up. Im hoping to get it down to the track this weekend or next weekend to get some practice in before TS.

Also I forgot to mention I had to make a slight change to the turbo arrangement. I just couldn't wait any longer to get the 75mm, so I ended up going with RCD's 72mm instead. little bummed about it but I was able to save a good chunk of change which went towards the built motor, and I always intended to spray it, so when the dual fuels and 60%'s are in i'll have to make up for the slight lack of air with some nos

regarding the turbo arrangement though, I haven't got one it that hard yet but it definatly pulls much harder, sound is about the same, ill talk about it more when it gets some more miles on it

And I would like to give a big shout out to Morgan again, I am really happy I chose to deal with him for this build, he always answered the phone or called me right back and was willing to give me some of his time to talk me through things when I had questions, really stand up guy and I will be sending people his way when people ask
