Do it where sperman bullet proofed that 6.4.

Have you thought about maybe trying to get a lower psi cap in the mean time?

I don't think that would help much. He said in a earlier post that it starts to drip as soon as the truck is started.

I would through some of the GM coolant pellets in for the mean time.

I had a 6.9 IDI in a work van that was cracked between the freeze plugs above the starter and the pellets helped with the leak.

If it's a pulling trucking, definitely throw the tablets in. The tablets will most definitely seal the drip. If the leak progresses or get worse, then yank the motor. But in the meantime, go have fun.

While it may work, it sure seems like a snake oil fix. I have always hated snake oil fixes. Especially when you have to clean out the snake oil when you do the real fix.

Although I did see a cracked block in a 1953 Chevy straight six fixed with Bars leak.

Drop a couple raw eggs or some black pepper in it! Jk. But I have seen them both done and actually work before! Lol
I put a big bottle of kseal in it. but I know of some old timers that used to drive truck for a living say that 2 eggs and a half pound of pepper will stop any leak in the coolant system..
Mustard will also work.
never heard of that one before. the plan, even before the coolant drip was to pull the motor when my buddies shop gets done... so this winter it will get tore down and looked over.

I would still be talking to your builder. Only 5K is not even broken in.

nope. it was clear that because I had parts from another vendor sent to him that there was no warranty what so ever on the motor. ill deal with it myself. same thing everyone said when I had problems with the freeze plugs falling out within days of getting it home.. I dealt with that on my own and ill do the same here... its been leaking oil from what I can tell is the oil pan and a npt plug behind the drivers side motor mount since then too but again thats something ill have to deal with when I pull the motor.

Good shti. You would have been better off tossing a good stock fr motor in.

Jake, get some 3/4" plywood sheets. Four or 5 of them. As long as you have a flat surface under them you can do anything yourself with a hoist. I pulled and installed 2 motors last spring/summer that way. Wasn't the easiest but had to do something. Then used the wood to build work benches!

That's crap. Those issues aren't from you using other parts...
