I tried to get a MDW Stage 1 to run on my GOGO manifold...seems people were too busy to care. Now look what's being said....

On an OEM manifold I'm guessing the Stage 2 will push easily to 500 with supporting tuning/mods. With a GOGO type manifold I think it will be DAMN close if not past 500 w/supporting mods.

Did you ask for a free turbo or offer to pay for one?

When was that?? Did you call?? What exactly did you try to do to get one?? Adrian is a one man band and up until just recently has been swamped with trying to get these things brought to the market. I can assure you that he hasnt been dicking the dog on this and if you are serious about getting one, PM either him or me and I'll give you his phone number and then you can call him yourself. Otherwise dont be a b!tch.

See if it were me I'd tell you to either pound sand, take my numbers for what they were worth, or go get a turbo and run it with your truck on a track yourself.

I get what guys are getting at with only using dyno numbers and not providing any track numbers, which is why I say to ONLY use a verified and respectable dyno w/ respectable dyno operator (which to me is Bill at PHP). I say this because calculators can vary by at least 15hp which still has to be taken with a grain of salt IMO. So at the end of the day some can say "only track results for me" and others can say "a dyno number is good enough for me". I know for me, I am not an experienced track racer so whatever results I got with my truck on the track may or may not be the actual power my truck is capable of producing so for me I would rather have a respectable dyno operator tell me what I am making and call it a day. JMO.

Yes I agree as well that the 500hp title should be reserved until the turbos actually produce that.

I dont know... How about ask Elite how they make their turbos and see what you get???

How informative...

Ok how about the fact that they dont cost what elite charges. :stupid:

Next, Elite uses a different turbine wheel (10 blade as opposed MAD's 13 blade) as well as a different size too. As far as I know, Elite does not use dmax turbos for their powerstroke turbos. I have no idea where you would have gotten this from.

Now once the "Stage 3" comes out, it will have a larger turbine wheel than Elite's "Powermax-HO".

I'll let MadPowerstroke give specs if he wants to.

How's this for being a little more informative?? :eek:fftopic

I think someone needs to slow their roll here. You come off as a real tool in this thread.

Look, All th eguys who have been busting our asses testing these things have been given a lot of crap and I'm sure Nate is just reacting to ALL the negativity. Nothing personal. I can tell you right now that if one more person PM's me asking me to "Get Adrian to Hook me up with a turbo", I'm gonna lose it. We're trying our best to provide all the info we can on a product that we truly believe in. This guy is making turbo's that out perform and cost less, we're beating the hell out of them to prove the quality. We don't have the cash or resources that a larger company would, but we're trying our best. Just gets a little overwhelming sometimes.

I got ya man and see what you're saying and definitely apologize both to you and 09stroker for the unnecessary sarcasm. I guess my sh!t meter was pegged was all. :fustrate: :gun:

There has just been a lot of hard work in both research and testing these things so when one becomes involved in something they believe in they naturally become defensive of it (still not an excuse to be a dick). So again I apologize and will strive to be both informative and constructive. :toast:

No one is disagreeing with that, we're just trying to know what you know. If your homework was done correctly, the turbo's should be awesome and your work should speak for itself. You just have a very anxious crowd here who want to know as much as possible. :toast:

We do understand how anxious everyone is. I know I'm doing my best to answer questions and give test results. Maybe we shouldn't have started these threads until we had more info and results, just kept things on a "need to know" basis. That however would have been incredibly hard due to how excited we are. And there have been a ton of whiny, "I want one for free" guys, that really bothers me. I put cash in Adrian's hand before I took his turbo, so it kinda erps me when I get asked or see posts that beg for a handout. That kinda crap is whats wrong with our country right now (among other things). I will try to be more informative in my posts as well and continue to answer as many questions as possible and as honestly as possible. I will also continue to call out those who beg for free crap and not feel bad about it, it actually makes feel all warm and fuzzy to embarass those who act like they deserve to just be GIVEN a turbo. I'll get off that soap box now.

We'll continue to test and provide results. Ask whatever you want and we'll try to answer. I will say that I don't think we have any testers planning on track runs with MTW turbo's except Bill from PHP. We should have some dyno results today and he'll be racing at TS on Friday. He has my 4088 (that made 485rwhp on stock sticks) on his truck with a set of Warren 175/stock nozzle injectors. I can't wait to see those numbers.

Ok one thing I haven't seen answered, is there any difference between using an LLY or an LBZ turbo when doing the durastroke? Sorry, I'm not very versed in the d-max turbos.- This came in my inbox as a question from Mdub707. Why it hasn't shown up on the thread, I don't know. The post before this one is the answer to his question.

The LLY is .5mm larger on the compressor than the LBZ duramax turbos.

Ok, I've been really busy, trying to get turbos built, and answering PM's.AS of today there is 18 of the MAD turbos, out there.Yes I'm a one man band and custom hand build each one.I'm trying really hard to stay on top of thing, between turbos, forums, and a full time job.Thank goodness I don't have, any young kids they are all grown up.I know some of the guys get really upset and come off a little harsh at times, but it as been non stop crazy. It's not going to stop,I have done all the research and the homework,on all of this stuff.I know exactly what to except out of all the turbos I build based on testing and numbers.I will say that the stage 1,blind sided me,according to numbers should have been same as a powermax, and instead outperformed it.Dyno numbers is all I can ask from my testers, can you if in my shoes tell them, here try this turbo out and then race it down the track,if your truck breaks too bad. That's why I had the most accurate dyno and operator do the test.Is there more I can get out of these trucks that dyno'ed, yes based on numbers not guessing.People don't know me and I'm the new kid on the block,I'll let my products speak for themselfs.I still have alot of other MADDNESS coming so just hold on for the 6.0 powerstroke ride of your life and keep you arms in the truck at all times. Thanks to all the members on here and most of all lets have some fun, thats what it's all about. One more thing my spelling and grammer suck I know,I spent too much time in school thinking about MAD stuff to really pay attention.I was also born in another country and came to the good old U.S.A. when I was 4,having parents that could not hepl me in school in english put me behind a little, but having a father that held four engineering degrees, help everwhere else.

Well I think the right answer here would be to just contact Adrian and ask as I am pretty sure he can get you either. Or if you locate one or the other yourself and want him to modify it to work in your truck, he can do that to and it is A LOT cheaper than $700 (IIRC it is like $350 for modding it. Dont quote me on that) so that maybe a route for you if you have your mind set on a certain one.

Nevertheless, I dont think he has anything as formal as an actual order form and website yet. Also, IMO, I dont believe there is really gonna be a big enough difference between the two (.7mm on the inducer) to say for sure that the LLY has a measureable gain over the LBZ, but I can totally understand wanting the bigger of the two. I know you can get batmowheels for both if you like as well.
