So for a good pulling hitch do I need to run a roll pan? Id rather not I like me ptm bumper!

No there is no need for a roll pan, bc the factory reese hitch will be in the same spot with your bumper as it would with a roll pan. That is unless you build a hidden hitch that tucks up under the roll pan. But must street diesel classes want factory style reese hitch...well atleast the pulls around me do anyways. So check the rules at your local pull before you go into all that work.

Wont be in the street class pulls though. but your right I looked it up. Anyone know what eric george pulls in? His truck either shifts or locks up and thats when he gets his wheel hop.

The roll pan is a huge advantage because you can move the hitch back almost 6 inches with minimal work, just move it back and redrill 4 holes, or modifiy the stocker because they really arent strong enough anyway.

You can move it back yes but i meant making it higher so it was tucked behind the roll pan so its not hanging down below the roll pan and look kinda dumb in my opinion

If your getting a hitch built you might want to look into sled stops too. If your planning on doing a lot of pulling anyway. Also, some ppl have put there hitch receiver behind there liecense plate, gets it in further and higher.

When you tuck it back it looks fine. Yeah hiding it would be better but it's honestly not that bad. Let me find some pictures.

It's either look at the hitch or look at the rear axle...

And I reccomend the dual shocks unless you want to spend more money. Just a hint, you still need to have good shocks even with the 4-link because they will still hop. It's all in the shocks, the radius arms work fine. I'm using stock radius arms on my 2.6 fully built pulling truck.
How are you mounting the shocks? I have heard about mounting the extra shock at a 60 degree angle. But i dont know if thats what makes the differance. Can you steer me in the right direction on this?

Those are some pictures of a dual kit I installed for a customer. Basically you need to keep it as tight and close to the frame as possible to keep from rubbing. Your clearance may vary as tire and rims play a big role in how much room you have.

Nice, what did you use on the bottom? The top is pretty self explanatory, is it just a bolt coming throught he stock radius arm with spacers? Did you just measure the distance from the top to bottom on the stock shock tower to get you distances?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, everyone has mentioned the dual shock setups, but your the first I've seen post pics. Thanks!
