Sledpullers.....intense.
I didn't no it was a big deal, Ben and Aaron want the tow powers n 2.5 so that's why we did the rules that way.
Only way we can enforce Woodstock is by the turbo.
Theres going to be a band too? LOL
jerome let it ride pull 2.5 and open since it pays clean house and go home. thank you coma again next year
Here is a basic summary of the rules this year for the classes
Workstock:
true workstock trucks, no hanging weights, no cheetah turbos, no billet wheels, no towpowers. we want this to be a true beginner class. Hard to make the sport grow when 1st time pullers are being beat by 600hp "workstock trucks" we have more classes for the guys with modified trucks.
2.5 diesel (new)
2.5" true bore, no clipped wheels, tow powers are allowed, s400 base chargers allowed. no nos, hanging weighs, stiff knees allowed. Must have drive shaft loops front/rear axle's. If you do no have those do not sign up. tags and insurance on vehicles.
hot street diesel (new)
street twin class. must have tags/insurance, big charger cant be anybigger than 88mm or 3.5". no nos. must have a air shut off or a fuel shut off. drive shaft loops front/rear axle's. fire extinguisher must be in the cab.
2.6 Diesel
this is for the dedicated pulling trucks. filled blocks, fuel cells, 2.6 charger, clipped wheels, NO PROTRUSION rule, if the plug fits it passes. NO NOS, must have drive shaft loops front/rear axle's, can have pulling style hitches. must have fire extinguisher, fire jacket, pants, close toed shoes, and full face helment. must have air or fuel shutoff
Open diesel 4x4
run what you bring, NOS ALLOWED, must have the same safety requirements as 2.6.
if you have any ?'s please post up or PM me.
NO PARKING ON THE TRACK THIS YEAR. we need the space for vendors, pullers and food. running two tracks this year so we need the space. we will have bleachers for you to sit on.
we had 80 hooks last year, goal is over 100 this year.
Pullers will need to be signed up and ready for inspection 1hr be the pull starts. will post the running order later.
very glad you made this change, last year I think River City Diesel pulled in the "work stock" and whooped a bunch of intake tuner exhaust guys wanting to have a good time. :lame:

I hope you really don't think that all those trucks are "intake exhaust and tuner trucks". Up here, where we normally pull, there's trucks that beat Jared. Most of them are duramax's with stock appearing turbos.
The 2.5 class cuts out all the modded vgt turbos for the dmax and cummins all the guys with a 6.0 and 68mm powermax or a 7.3 with a gtp38r from pulling.
Basically 80% of all the bolt on turbos out there cant pull in workstock or 2.5 by your rules. So all those guys now have to pull with the 2.6 class that makes a 1000hp on average. Sounds like a rule that makes a lot of sense for the majority? Why? Just to please a few whiners that don't want to spend any money to be competitive but cry when someone with a good running truck spanks them.
The 2.5 class only makes everyone spend more money on a custom 2.5" charger because they can't run a bolt in factory modded charger. In fact the class mainly was made because it fits the cummins crowd. Imagine that.....you can bolt almost any 2.5" charger on a cummins but find one for a lly, Lbz, lmm, 7.3, 6.0 or 6.4 that really is a true 2.5" directly bolt on single turbo without spending big money on new t-4 mounts or custom setup. I guess we all can't have a class that doesn't favor someone. The 2.5" class was desingned built and patterned for cummins truck by a cummins based shop out of Indiana. Is that easy enough to understand why the 2.5 class is stupid?
I agree the 2.5 class is dumb. I Dont agree with Shops pulling work stock with their shop truck, beating the least hp class there is, and then justifying it, because other duramaxes almost beat them. Let the individual guys "cheat" their class, not the Shops that are supposed to be there supporting the industry...setting the example.....
not making guys wish they had never entered because they never had a shot.
but hey, if it makes you feel like a big man, to compete in work stock with a mod truck, to each his own.
I think there is something to be said about class and honesty. you would think a shop(or people for that matter) would obide by the simple rules and keep to their respective class, and not ruin it for the little guys who dont have a 20+K dollar build (turbos, trans, heads, pumps, nozzles, etc) Work stock is supposed to be exactly that, work stock. I think the new rules are good for correcting this, even though the class layout is less desirable.
7.3s and 6.0s should be allowed 38r's and modded vgt's in work stock... because they dont stand a chance without one LOL
How do you figure its a shop truck? I am in NO WAY any part ownership of River City Diesel. and you can ask anyone, 95% of modifcation done to this truck now was done before I was even an employee here. Have a nice day

Lol...Jared built a truck within the rules...worked good and won...go anywhere where pulling is big and see how's its ran...quit crying about it...people build trucks for classes..to win
If you can't be at the top of the pack sorry about your luck but you don't handicap other trucks because yours doesn't make power
The 2.5 class is a Cummins catered class that makes ford and gm owners dump that much more in to run
That being said, its Aaron's event and they can make the rules however they want...I have no dog in this fight and will be there either way
Just think it's funny how some people are butthurt Jared built a winning truck and want to nail him to the cross for it
