Why wouldn't it be equalized if they are all connected? Fluid will take the path of least resistance.

What is so much better than the aeromotive pump vs the air dog the main reason I like the air dog is that the filters and pump is all one unit and everyone that I have heard have a failure got it resolved quickly what kind of warranty does the a1000 have

if you plan on going with aftermarket injectors then you should plan on a RR.

If you pair the air dog with the rr, it is essentially two regulators fighting each other, and if you don't set it up correctly you'll burn the air dog up. I have done this before, and it leaves you stranded.

by the time you get the a1000, filter, lines and such, you'd be roughly at the same price of an ad2 or less.

a1000 has a limited one year warranty from defects

Aeromotive advertises a 2 year warranty with their marine version A1000.

Well I believe it is a 2 year warranty, but whatever even if it is only a 1 year warranty, how many guys do you hear with these pumps having it fail on them as compared to the AD or FASS units?? A LOT less. In fact, I havent heard of one yet. Not to say that they dont but at least no one is on here saying that their pump has failed on them.

Do you no what the warranty is on the ad2?

Lifetime warranty but dont be surprised if you have to use that warranty.

in fact I have a brand new spare air dog pump sitting behind my backseat and the allen wrenches/sockets to replace the pump if I ever get stranded. so now that puts me at $800 that I have spent on the air dog..

nice! on their regular fuel pump it does not show warranty info. to the OP, the consensus here is that due to the closely related price for either setup..many would chose the a1000 and RR

As for installation, the a1000 and the ad2 are pretty much the same amount of labor except the a1000 can be located in more locations than the ad2 and provides a more custom design as where the whole system (pump and filters) can be placed.

I run the ad2 and RR (about 6000 miles on the clock) and so far is working great! granted had I adjusted the regulators respectively I probably would not have had any issues with the first pump.

Although, I am curious though to what the guys at MPD and what shawn is running on their race trucks..maybe they'll chime in.

That's what I'm saying. I would rather not have to worry about my pump going out on me in the first place than if I am going to have to pay for a replacement one or not, which is all a warranty is, and it seems to me that the Aeromotive pump seems to do that. To each their own I guess but that is my opinion.

I am Beta testing a fuel system for a certain company that is really nice. He'll probably release it in a few weeks. Complete system from the tank to the heads and back to the tank. It utilizes his fuel system for the 7.3l. Parker push lock lines, stainless hard lines, your choice of Fuelab or aeromotive or dual stock pump, and Baldwin filters. Pretty nice setup.

i built my own fuel system. Only thing stock with the fuel system on my truck is the plastic tank. I have a hellmann's sump with a 5/8 line from the sump the a low pressure FASS pump system. Then 5/8 line from the FASS to the fuelab pump. Then 1/2 line from the fuelab pump to a Y-block in the engine bay. They two 3/8's lines from the Y-block to the front of each head. Then the regulated return system from the back of the heads. I ended up cutting the factory fuel bowl off of the oil filter housing. I made all of my fuel lines.

Here's pics of the sump and the line going into the FASS pump system

i got it from Dennis at Strictly Diesel(ITP). He set the pump up at the reduced speed setting.
http://shop.strictlydiesel.com/store.php/products/FueLab_Pump
Dennis runs the same fuel system setup on his 7.3...and redracer62 also runs the same setup i have. Only difference is that i'm running a low pressure FASS pump system where the both of them are running the airdog150 low pressure pump system with the fuelab.
