Yea. Just not smart to do more than is necessary at this point since I have a lot of student loans at 6.8-8% ahead of me for dental school. Want to pay as much out of pocket as possible so ill just do the complete bullet proofing and a good tune

It's just really disappointing I was just so happy to finally have my own truck again after months of trying to find something and after not even 8 hours of ownership it's a lawn ornament.

I appreciate it fellas. Definitely crappy timing but just gotta roll with the punches

Coolant looks gelatinous and kinda smells like diesel. Oil level looked fine I think but truck was on a level. Don't really want to run it at all

Ouch. That looks exactly like fuel in there. I'll see if we can move the timeline up, and I have another set of heads sitting at the shop for ya.

I appreciate it let me know what you can figure out. I'm talking to another guy in the area as well.

will AAA cover the tow? I'm not broken down on the side of the road, but if I drove it it'd only cause more damage.

owner of the dealership I bought it from just texted me back and said "We will handle it tuesday" so hopefully he will help me out. Legally he isn't obligated as it was sold "as is" but he seemed like a good guy so hopefully he will do the right thing.

Been there done that. Honestly if a local mechanic doesn't know the ins and outs on a 6 liter, potentially they'll do more harm than good. Stay on top of them...and always request to see the old parts.

Sorry to hear all this, it sucks buying someone elses troubles.. I had lots of problems with mine, I basically rebuilt the damn thing and then sold it to a farmer with a stack of reciepts totaling eleven thousand dollars, I sold it for twelve thousand.. The dealer that did all the work offered me $6500..

Needless to say I did not buy my new truck from them...
