Bad ass chris.. I wanted to try an overdrive too but they put it on hold the last I knew.

why not feed the 482 with both the 360s? Would spool quickly..

Both 360's together flow the same as the 482, which is enough for 800 on fuel theoretically. That's plenty to get me where I want to be before nitrous. The pair of 360's should spool great. The piping would be ugly anyway.

That was my next thought. Didnt know if the 360s where big enough to run like that... yeah, id say they should light well..

Well I've been so busy that I haven't been able to work on it. I finally had some time Christmas eve. I got the front brake system and bearings all replaced, cleaned and painted the chassis, and got the motor pulled apart. I need a new freeze plug for the oil gally at the back of the motor. That's where my oil pressure went.

I would tap those oil galleys and use a npt plug. Never have to worry about blowing a plug again

I just plugged them. If it blows out again I'll go ahead and tap them.

I have the engine and a mock up trans in. Now to get the cab on to get the mounting brackets welded on and finish putting in the wiring.

What do you guys think about the radiator? Leave it up front or put it in the back?

I also seal welded the oil pickup tube and put new seals in the high pressure oil resivour. I'll be getting a Dieselsite reivour spacer later.

What's your plans for IC?

I'd leave the rad where it is unless I ran into issues fitting an IC.

is this going to be a pure drag truck? reason i ask is that is a big radiator lol. I have a tiny one in the ranger and dont have a problem with it getting hot at all. saves weight to have a smaller cooler and less coolant.

Matt I was actually thinking about picking up a small one from somewhere. Something maybe 2-3" thick, 12"-14" tall and 24" wide. Little guy. If not, at least my flexalite fans will fit this one.

Also, for intercoolers I thought about looking for a couple tiny inline coolers. It's hard to explain what I'm looking for, but something I can use inline from the compressor outlets straight over to the intake plenums.
