stage one with 1.0 housing

Just so you know I have a 02'waste Super Duty not OBS if that matters. The Bank's Bug Mouth is only like $150-175. Will a different housing unit (ported) keep the boost in check or is that strictly controled by the wastegate? Are the $100-125 turbo rebuild kits worth the money.? Can get a new turbo for $400.

Buy a used van charger and put a ported housing or go straight to a 38r which will solve all of your problems.

i just rebuilt my turbo with the 1.0 housing and stock obs wheel. i put all new o
rings in the fuel and hpop systems and oil pan and cleaned and painted the block and heads. next im going to get a intercooler then get injectors built to stage ones and new injector o rings and cups and glow plugs and maybe under valve wiring

Be happy. I ran 160 stageIIs with the 1.0 housing without any problems and made 408hp with old tunes for over 80K miles.

I had stage ones with a 1.0 housing and i switched back to a stock 1.15 housing and it made a big difference. Didnt make a difference at all in spoolup, but it pulled harder up top and cleaned up better as well. It was better all around in my truck. I made 387hp with a stock fuel system and 160/stock nozzles

i will see how it does with the 1.0 then maybe put my 1.15 housing on with a superduty compressor wheel if the 1.0 housing doesnt work. have any of you guys put a stage one gearhead cam in your truck. i have the front of the engine pulled a part and was wondering if it had any benfits

I have ran stage ones with the 1.0 housing and stock wheel and it surged its azz off. Got a rebuilt stock one stopped surging and seemed allot beter then the 1.0 housing. Also the SD wheel with the 1.15 housing does not surge with 300/200 injectors. Been there done that still running a stock turbo. Been running 300/200's with the stock turbos for 2 years now.

387whp on 160's and stock turbo/fuel? Damn. How exciting. 160s are next for me.

idk 5 or 6k and the turbo had over 200k on it. Pretty much my truck gets driven wide open everytime I get in it.

Holy**** wait what?!?!?! With what mods?? Stage II's on stock turbo and a 1.0 you ran 392hp and 13.1 in the 1/4?????

No 1.0 housing. This was with the 1.15 and a SD wheel. 300/200's Matts tuning SRP1 HPOP, BTS trans and A-1000 fuel pump. Didnt have head studs or nothing yet either. I am not a fan of dynos. Friend had 250/200's stock SD fuel pump and a 17* oil pump and dynoed 393 but I walk him on the street and track.

Sorry if I'm asking a redundant question, but are you IC'd? And how do you think 160/30's will work on stock turbo/no IC?

Yes I have a IC. I did not have a IC when I ran my stage ones and I was fine with out them getting real hot on a tow tune. My buddy ran his 250/200's awhile with out a IC and it was fine just had to watch egt's towing... Also using a good tuner you can do this.
